Daughter passed away yesterday afternoon

She had a planned surgery due. 2 days before she got admitted, ventilated and then passed away in picu 10 days later. Devastated and don't know what to do with myself.

probably get totally battered now......i can understand OP reaching out in desperation but feel so sad.

There must be some " on the ground " support available.

I cannot say or add anything that will make sense of this event save to say its about the worst thing that can happen to a parent.

Such a cruel loss - I'm so very sorry.

You'll be up and down like a yoyo in the days and weeks and months to come, just remember that there is no right or wrong way to feel or grieve at any one moment, and allow yourself to get through this however it hits you. Make yourself eat a little even if you lose your appetite.

I'm sure she was a gorgeous little girl.

Excuse my language, but aside from your immediate family (DH and other DCs) everyone else can go fuck themselves. It's ok to close off from everyone else for a bit.
