I am stunned and unbelievably humbled to see that one little post I wrote sparked 1000 messages, and Im so appreciative of all you personal stories and jokes to cheer me up.

MN is offically amazing and you're all fantastic.

DM had a rough night, she apparently woke in the night with a bad headache which I think confirmed the disease has moved into her head (we expected this, apparently what's causing the paralysis often appears in the brain too). Still no appetite and sleeping all the time.

Hope everyone had a good night. I had yet more nightmares - theyre all about Mum and they all horrible. Shouty I is in fine voice this morning. Dad said he heard Shouty I bellowing to Shouty II to shut up the other day. Pot, meet kettle

Dominos. That does sound good. I think I've now sung every single Harvest Festival hymn twice over. Left DH and DD at surprise Disney princess birthday party two hours ago with car keys so that he could drive home and I walked up to church for the evening service. Just got home to discover they are still at party, DH can't drive as had a drink and I've got no house keys as they're on the car keys...so I'm sat in the garden with the dogs going nuts in the kitchen waiting to be fed. DH says he's coming home 'soon'

Arrived shamefully late today to find DF upset because he fed DM some soup to fast and she'd choked on it, bit of a drama by the sounds of it but thankfully she's OK now.

I say "OK"... My heart is breaking for her. Don't think I've ever seen anyone look so thoroughly miserable.

Oh Lemon it's so hard isn't it? I know your heart is breaking & no matter what anybody says to you it doesn't make it any easier. We are all thinking of you & your Mum. Have a peaceful night.

So sorry to hear of the problem with the soup. It is really scary when that happens and it makes the relative feel that they are not being helpful. It is the saddest thing to watch the parent we looked up to becoming less and less capable.
I will be popping in as ever. Take care of you. Hope you have a quiet night.

My Dad looked really really upset about it... He was apologising to her and she didn't reply. There have been times throughout this that Mum's had a go at him about how he cares for her even though he's trying his best. He must be running on empty
