TERRIBLE NEWS FROM YORKIEGIRL

tillykins · 10/08/2006 03:25

Yorkiegirl has phoned me from holiday in Portugal; her husband Nigel has collapsed and died tonight.
She thinks it was a stroke or heart attack.
The authorities are trying to get hold of her parents - they are also in Portugal
Fortunately, neither of her DDs saw anything
I don't know much more than that but will post if I have anything else

I really feel for you sooo much i lost my dad and sister in tragic circumstances both very quickly and shock plays a part in the first stage of coping but at some point the grief catches up with you and at this time all the love and support is needed. You are staying so strong for your girls i am sure your star in the sky would be so proud - in my thoughts xx

I just want to add how so very sorry I am, for you and your girls. I understand well what you mean about your dd's laughter your girls will be a great help to you in the coming months (and years) children help us continue. I only wish you all didn't have to go through this. For your Nigel, I am glad he did not know and that he did not have to suffer. I do hope my words come across in the way they are meant, full of wishing for anyone suffering that we did not have to go through such loss. I wish you all well YG.

lazycow · 14/08/2006 09:18

So sorry to hear this news.

This must be so hard for you and your family - you are all in my thoughts and prayers

jud2905 · 14/08/2006 09:58

just wanted to add my sympathy. My father passed away when I was 9 and my sister was 7 so understand how your dd's are feeling. Time is a great healer.
Nice idea which has helped others is for the girls to make a memory book of their treasured memories/ photos/ keepsakes so they will always have something to look back on.

My thought are with you.

marthamoo · 14/08/2006 10:43

Usually I float around Mn and post a few messages but I had to come on and say you're doing an incredible job coping with your loss. My heart, hugs, love and prayers are with you and your gorgeous girls.

popsycal · 14/08/2006 17:25

Yg - make sure you take care of YOU as well. Make sure that you eat and be good to yourself.
