as I'm sitting here and looking around my living room, there are loads of my mums things, including stuff for Xmas, in fact theres things of hers everywhere. I've even got her box of washing powder under my sink, with her spoon in it she used to measure the powder out. Its losing its smell though, I used to be able to close my eyes and smell the powder and was straight back in her kitchen and I could see it all, but the smell is fading now.The only thing that isnt fading is the hurt inside me, I hope it goes away, it hurts too much.

mummylin2495 · 11/12/2013 19:02

ssd you are still clearly hurting very much, do you think it would help you to join a discussion group for the bereaved ? I'm not sure what is available but I know when my sister died my mum went to a group for bereaved parents. Maybe there is something similar for people who have lost a parent ? I will have a search on the net and see what I can find

Ssd...I wish I could hug you :( but I would pass on my lurgy :(
I picked up dads wreath today and took it to the cemetery. Seems so so wrong. I miss him like a physical pain.
Jinty...that sounds lovely. Dad loved Xmas but mum didn't. She isn't putting up decs this year at all :(
My friend came earlier and we chatted about mum and dad. She is worried about me. She is coming back on Monday. She is such a Calming influence.
Thinking of you all as we travel this lonely road together x

Blue star - I have a candle in doors on a side I have and it's always on special occasions a Yankee candle as my mum loved them. And I got some special tea light candles but they were roses. I got hold of a candle holder with mum on it carved through so when the light comes through the mum is lit up. We also done a helium balloon.
Let us know what you decide to do Hun xx

Ssd - sending you massive virtual hugs pm 'd you Hun. Like I said please take some time for you. Even if smallest thing like I said. It is very hard and the times are still tough. But you know Hun these times and days aren't all the time and we get reprieves. Hope the next few days will be a little easier for you Hun. Focas on what you like.

Badvoc. - we are going the tree with my dad Sunday. My dad is struggling in and off a lot lately. Breaks me bad to see it.
Hope you and your family feel better very soon x

it's so tidy. she would think it's hilarious that it's so tidy. and he has actually put the tree up he never had a tree before he met mum so she has made a lasting impression there. I feel like a small child again curled up in the corner of her couch just because it was where she always sat

mummylin2495 · 12/12/2013 11:03

Had a tough day today on and off. I hate not having my wonderful kind caring funny decluttering queen ( along with me) 2 peas in a pod. [Smile]huge presence in my life god I miss her.

God I'm getting fed up with temping work! Short contracts constantly learning new stuff and finish in a few weeks is becoming tedious. Wish I could find some permanent part time work. Sad

Oh well here's to 2014 for a permanent job. Where the hell did this year go!!

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head uuup high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a goooolden sky

That's enough for now I have a sore throat '!!!!!
