I cant help it, I need you lot, dp died yesterday, I cant stop seeing it, it hurts so much

everything hurts, I cant close my eyes without seeing it happening
he collapsed at home
I did chest compressions till the ambulance came
they tried for ages but he was gone
I cant stop seeing it
my arms hurt, my heart hurts
I'm exhausted
I cant do this again

Darling , I have THIS printed out in my box of memories. I found it after my Dad died and it resonated with me although I have never been in your nightmare position. Have a read and print it out and give it to everybody.

Sorry if it isnt right for you but the words might help.

If in doubt, you could check with Purple or Giraffe but it does seem to me to be a very practical idea and I can't imagine anyone in any way taking offence at it. Think it's a very practical and very sweet thoughtful thing to think ofThanks

Trinity, you lost your DH not long after I joined MN. The way you managed to articulate your feelings, the support you were offered, and accepted, from people who were touched by your honesty and vulnerability, struck a chord with me. I silently rejoiced for you when your life took a huge upturn and you met DP. I love your funny, upbeat posts... you have given a lot of hope to a lot of people. Even on this thread, the image of your lovely big bear in his melly mels and red hat made me smile through the tears.

I am praying that those images that torment you now, will fade and that all you will be left with are your wonderful memories. As I read what you wrote about him, I felt I was alongside you, looking for flatfish with the sea breeze in our faces, what lovely times you must have had.

I send you love and pray for strength and peace for you, your family, his grown up children and your wonderful friends who are there to support you. xxx

I am glad you got some sleep. And that DD2 cried - Sad but healthy IYKWIM.

Yes, do just breathe and put one foot in front of the toher just now.
Remember to eat, even if you don't feel like it. Grief is hard work and needs fuel.

The photos are beautiful - the scenes they depict are going to be your memories. In time.
