I think we have had this title before but it seems appropriate for spring

I have started this thread in honour of all our children but particularly Fraser who would have been 7 today. Happy birthday son we still miss you dearly. You will always be our firstborn and we always remember you in our hearts

Marengo Sorry for your loss :( If you hurt, you hurt; the time scale doesn't make a difference in my opinion. Must have been awful for you and absolutely devestating.

Caz glad you're feeling more reassured. Be good to yourself.

spilt I so agree with that, I found out today that a friend is 11 weeks pregnant and she told me she had a m/c in Feb at 8 weeks but hadn't told me, I assume as I was still so raw about losing Scarlett but I'm so happy for her. I couldn't say everything will be ok though as I just can't make those promises anymore. It's a flippant thing to say I now think but never realised before. She's been lovely to me and came to Scarlett's funeral too.

Evening all, feeling more level tonight so far, hoping it continues after a fairly good day :)

Thank you; you are all very kind. I'm sorry I posted yesterday. I did not want to intrude on your thread, but sometimes I just feel that things are overwhelming. No one else remembers - XH is an alcoholic and we don't speak much these days. I used to talk to my Mum, but she died 5 years ago.

Someone earlier talked about planting sunflowers. I think that is lovely. I have planted irises and freesias for K because Spring is such a lovely, hopeful time.

xxx to you all.

deemented · 21/04/2011 07:36

Hi folks.

I could do with a hand hold. My mc was incomplete and i have to go to hospital today to have a small proceedure done to make sure it all comes away. I'm going on my own as we have no childcare, and i'm scared. Very scared.

travellingwilbury · 21/04/2011 08:01

Dee I am so sorry you have to go through this , especially having to go to the hospital on your own xxx

I foolishly forgot I am now 40 and unfit and ending up falling from a rock Blush
Only about a foot up but landing very oddly , I am just glad they think its the ligaments and not actually broken .

It is bloody sore though , and the dr wants me to keep off it completely for at least 3 days and keep it elevated . Good luck with that in my house !

How are you doing Everlong ?

shabbapinkfrog · 21/04/2011 08:18

Oh Dee wish I lived closer then I could either come with you or watch the children for you.

If you get scared, and who wouldnt, remember that I am right by the side of you. Will (virtually) be with you all day. I'm so sorry this is happening xxxxx

They really do have their priorities buggered don't they ?

I would like to say it surprises me but sadly it doesn't .

I did have a couple of vodkas last night but not sure they mix well with the painkillers . Also drunk in charge of crutches may be a bit scary Grin

shabbapinkfrog · 21/04/2011 08:54

TW my DS1 did the same thing playing basketball a few years ago. Of course, being a man made it much more painful!!!

Just had to answer the phone and Lew had a full container of bubbles....he stayed just out of my reach....blew them all over the telly screen, all over the leather sofa and for an encore spilt half of them on the carpet - little bugger then ran and got the towel and wiped them all off everything!! I was doing 'the eyes' at him - you know the ones that say 'Dont you dare!!' When I got off the phone he did an impression of the little girl off the Haribo advert - 'Andma Look into my eyes!!' He is too clever by piggin' far!!

travellingwilbury · 21/04/2011 09:03

Shabs I love Lew Grin He would get on very well with my two I reckon .

I was so pleased yesterday when my brothers friend said if he had done what I had he would be lying on the floor crying and he said that was the clear difference between men and women Grin So true !

How long did it take to get better ? Can you remember ?

shabbapinkfrog · 21/04/2011 09:09

OMG its about 15 years ago.....I clearly remember he went back to school on crutches after about a week and he was back playing basketball about 2-3 weeks after he had done it.

Lew currently loves the song 'A message to you Rudy - by the Specials!!' He is sat on my knee singing 'Time to figure it outtttttt, got to fink of de future, message to u rudy.' Singing as loud as he can!! It is sooooo cute!

CazandBelle · 21/04/2011 09:09

oh dee xx holding your hand.

CheeseandGherkins · 21/04/2011 09:15

Morning. Didn't sleep well, lots of nightmares, hope tonight is better

lavandes · 21/04/2011 13:38

Hope it is all ok by now dee so sorry you had to do it on your own. xx

Stay on the sofa tw and be lady muck. I tore ligaments in my calf years ago. It was agony. xx

Why is it that just when you think you may have a better day it all goes downhill. I slept quite well last night, went to work I am a receptionist in a leisure centre, all going well. In comes the man from the undertakers who arranged Richard's funeral, and I am back in my house choosing coffins. It totally unsettled me.

Hope you have a better night tonight cheese xx
