I think a change in routine is un-nerving Everlong. Keep coming and having a gab. xxxx

I'm OK love xxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/10/2010 18:43

Lovely to see you Everlong and FMN Smile

{{{TW}}} - aargggghh, it's just shit isn't it. Harry should be here and blowing the candles out on his cake tomorrow.

This time of the year is pretty shite for a few of us if I remember correctly.

Caz - don't fret about removing SS from your FB. You need to look after you at the moment, and tbh it's something I keep umming and ahhing over.

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 18:50

Thanks all xx

Everlong Daniel has just started reception as well and it has really thrown me too , all the what ifs .

How is that bump Ilike ? Are you still managing to hide it ? I was big really early with 2nd and 3rd .

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 18:52

Shabs , I love the idea of Lews singing Happy Birthday Grin he is going to grow up as bonkers as his nanny isn't he ? Are you still being used as a tissue ?

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 19:01

Me again Wink

He smells of sick but hasn't been sick , looks like another shite night ahead . How the hell are we meant to ever be "normal" ?
I can't settle , and I want to drink vodka but can only have one so I can still drive if need be .

I don't wamt to be this loopy .

Thanks Everlong , I love the idea of you grabbing your decorator by the way , you never know you might make his day Grin

We are all officially barking now aren't we ?

I have got a vodka and I have decided if we need to drive then dh can do it . Just as well I have got a good one .

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/10/2010 19:14

You're not loopy TW, just a mum worrying about her dc. Munchaseun (sp?!) by proxy, now that's loopy.

I hope you both have a more settled night tonight, the feeling of dread coming down is horrible isn't it?

If you can't have the vodka, substitute with choc and ice-cream instead Grin

The bump growth seems to have settled down, thank the Lord. My normal clothes fit me fine, but the bump has really started just underneath my boobs - which is what happened both times before. It also helps that I lost about a stone a month before ttc so my normal clothes were loose anyway. I've got my 12 week scan next week and I'm shitting it, but hey ho, don't most people?

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 19:18

Will we get to see pics of a grey blurry thing and pretend we can see an actual baby ? Grin
I love those things , our hospitalk has fab glasses that you wear so you don't have to get a crick in your neck . Feels a bit space invader ish but really good .

It is really exciting I am so pleased for you . I told my dh you were pregnant and I think he thinks I am even more bonkers then before . I was telling him as if he should know exactly who I was talking about Blush

CazEM · 06/10/2010 19:25

Hello to old new faces then! :) Sorry if I sounded suspicious before. Blush I will pull myself together!

Thanks Ilike - I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who's been deliberating. Glad to hear bump is growing nicely :)

TW Hope Daniel is feeling better soon and lots of love for Harry's birthday tomorrow. xx

Having another Envy moment - another birth announced on FB. There has been a lot recently. I want my Belle. :(

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 19:29

Heliantha · 06/10/2010 19:42

Hello all, and ((hugs)) to TW for tonight and tomorrow.

I'm not old or new, just a bit quiet. I don't really get the 'etiquette' of here, so sorry if I write the wrong thing or ask odd questions. I'll sit at the back and do my best :)

Anybody hear the poems on Jeremy Vine today? I wasn't listening properly & couldn't understand why I was crying in the car :(

deemented · 06/10/2010 19:46

Heliantha - there is no right or wrong here - we're free to just be. And ask away - i know i for one love talking asbout all my kids...

travellingwilbury · 06/10/2010 19:49

Heliantha , the point here is for once in our life there is no right or wrong please feel free to say or ask anything you like .

I had to switch the poems off , I listened to some of the war ones yesterday and that tipped me over the edge as it was xx

Heliantha · 06/10/2010 20:10

Thank you both.

I was on the way to do some singing with children and was focussing on being 'up'. I usually manage to avoid obvious triggers but failed today. JV is usually safe :)

shabbadabbadingdong · 06/10/2010 21:54

4 YES COUNT THEM....4 pissing hours of trying to help Tom with his Maths homework. He still hasn't been able to do it.....Indices? INDICES MY ARSE - he is in tears and I am at screaming point!!!

....and breathe!!

Minione · 06/10/2010 22:03

Eugh, just thinking of maths brings me out in a cold sweat!!!

TW - thinking of you xx

Dh is on a school trip this weekend. Its the first time we've been apart since Malachy died. Feel a bit scared tbh, I'm going to my mum's so I won't be alone but I'll really miss him.

CazEM · 06/10/2010 22:03

Hello everlong :) - I'm sorry to hear about your son. Yes Shab TW and all the ladies here have been amazing, I find them a constant comfort and support.

Heliantha - I love this thread - being able to just be me, without having to keep that stiff upper lip going. As has already been said - no right or wrong here, just say what you need to say. I always find getting it out makes it a little lighter.

lottiejenkins · 06/10/2010 22:08

Dont know which war poems were read out but my Wilfred was named after this Wilfred
He was the most amazingly brave man. He was injured during WW1. He was sent home to recuperate and was given the option not to return to the Front. He was friends with Siegfried Sassoon who was also injured. Without telling Sassoon, Wilfred returned to fight again, he wrote to Sassoon when he was in the trenches. Wilfred Owen was killed going over the Front the week before Armistice Day. His parents receieved the telegram with the news as the bells in the village church were ringing for peace. Sad An outstandingly brave man!
