Hi Ladies, hope you are all ok x

shabbapinkfrog · 11/11/2010 22:25

Everybody is very quiet - hope that means that everybody is ok. The wind is making a real racket here - scary weather - it never came really light today - it just stayed dark grey for most of the day!!!! Our Greek holidays seem a long, long time ago!!

I was thinking the same Shab - I've just been lurking the last couple days. Nothing really to report apart from being shattered from work. Had a wobble going in on Wedensday morning. I don't really know why...

DH had Belle's sleeping angel tattoo today though. It is absolutely perfect!

AF has finished, so I guess this means we're officially TTC again now. Its quite a huge scary thought. But we both want to...

shelleylou · 11/11/2010 22:41

Aww at your DH's tatoo Caz. Im a sucker for them. I've been trying to find a dove for my next 1 but failing to find 1 i love think i'll ask DH's cousin to draw 1 up for me.

I can imagine its a scary thought it was for me after i had my MC which is completely different to yourself.`
I've found myself missing db more thane ver lately and what makes it worse is i could do with his advice he was great at that. A best mate, younger brother, elder brother and protector all rolled into 1. I'm going to feel it on sunday as we quite often did the Rememberance Sunday parades together.. I was too caught up with him missing db's birthday (was the same day) last year to pay attention to it

shelleylou · 11/11/2010 22:42

duh that should be ds's birthday

CazandBelle · 11/11/2010 22:49

Shelley I'll put a picture up when it is a little bit more healed! (He won't let me at the moment!)

shabbapinkfrog · 11/11/2010 22:54

I want a tattoo so much. Think Im a bit old now - cant find much skin that isin't wrinkly - ewwwwwwww Grin

I would like something to do with sunflowers, the Greek words for My Family (even though I dont know what they are LOL) not too big and fairly in-expensive!!!!!

Dont want much do I??

It will look much better tomorrow when the redness has gone down > In my defence i only have 5 and they all have a big meaning to me.

They dont have to cost a lot shabs i got my mum her first for her birthday in september IIRC and i will check your FB in a sec she is a year or 2 older than you. My most expensive tattoo is the 1 on my leg purely cos of the detail it is a pink rose and stem and 8 hearts which cost me £50 the rest were £30 or below. I must add them to a album on FB

CazandBelle · 11/11/2010 23:07

Shab I'm considering doing it now! It didn't look too scary today at all! I drew something on the beach weeks ago and I've been thinking it would look lovely on my wrist for Belle as a tat since.

Not going to rush into anything though, especially as we're TTC again, wouldn't want to go on the long waiting list and then have to cancel if I got a BFP in the meantime. It is something I will think about doing after #2....

shelleylou · 11/11/2010 23:14

Its not scary block out the noise that is what gets most people. My best friend has 9 and its that that gets her every time. I put off getting my dove as I'd had a BFP was a chemical pg though and gave the voucher i'd been given to my db might see if he minds me getting the same tattoo as him, my maiden name

shabbapinkfrog · 11/11/2010 23:21

My friend Nikos (Im sure I have told you this - if I have just bear with me Grin) has an amazing tattoo on the inside of his arm. His older brother died in a scooter accident about 4 years ago.

He has (written in old English type writing)

Kostas - My brother, my friend.

Underneath it there are Kostas' birth and death dates.

It is really beautiful.....but, there again, I am biased as he is beautiful - inside and out

CazandBelle · 12/11/2010 14:07

I feel sick. A fb acquaintance (someone I went to school with), was asking me about DH's tattoo, what he had had done etc - and then asked me how me, DH and Anabelle were doing.

WTF. Its no secret on my fb I have an angel daughter.

lavandes · 12/11/2010 14:52

caz that is so upsetting. I was in the supermarket queue the other evening. I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was Richard's tutor when he was at college. I have kept him up to date with Richard's working life, he sometimes comes into where I work but I haven't seen him for ages. He said 'Hello how are you, how's Richard how's he doing' he didn't know and I had to tell him. It was awful, he was upset as he didn't know. He had tears in his eyes, he is a lovely man. He said that he would say a prayer and light a candle for Richard.

That was the first time I have had to tell someone myself. I came home and had a cry.

AxisofEvil · 12/11/2010 14:53

I'm so sorry Caz. I can only assume he has skim read things and so isn't aware of the situation. One of the things I am dreading (particularly when I'm back at work) is people asking how "the twins" are.

shabbapinkfrog · 12/11/2010 15:29

When Toms holiday friends visited we had to get the bus from Manchester to Bolton.

Half way through our journey we stopped in the town we used to live in. A lady got on and asked how old my sons were now......'You had twins didn't you, then I heard you had another son and then a little boy when you were in your 40's' I knew she was getting off a couple of stops later and I said............

'You've got a good memory. The twins will be 29 just after Christmas, Matty is 26 and our Tom is 13'

'Give them all my love please, they were smashing lads.......

She got off the bus and we set off again on our journey. With me looking through the window trying to hide the big blobby, salty tears that streamed down my face.

It would have been so easy to say 'fine' and walk away but I couldn't. It is all so difficult isn't it and there seems to be no end to it. This is how it is now I suppose.

:( Shock Have posted.

I knew a storyline about baby death was coming up from something that was put up on Sands - I had hoped it would be played realistically to raise awareness of the devastation. But this is going to be awful :(
