Megg - I will be thinking of you and hope that you get some answers quickly. How fab that your doctor was so on the ball to get you in straightaway . Hope it's not too stressful for you both.

really glad you're home - it's so much better to sleep in your own bed, especially being quite heavily pg.

Good luck for Sunday.

Your ds sounds an absolutely delightful little boy

controlfreakyfluffybunny · 23/03/2007 23:04

poor you. you must be worried sick but it sounds like he's getting looked after by medics now..... dh knows about all things radiological so if you have questions about the scans will happily ask him....

chipmonkey · 23/03/2007 23:05

Meg, I would think an MRI would probably be better than CT. Thinking of you XX

misdee · 23/03/2007 23:06

glad u are home and MRI will be done.

malaleche · 23/03/2007 23:06

Good luck, im sure it'll all be ok {{{hugs]]]

Furball · 23/03/2007 23:15

How scarey for you all. Hope all goes well on Sunday when hopefully you can get some answers.

imaginaryfriend · 23/03/2007 23:42

How old is he? (sorry if you've already said and I missed it).

I don't know if this is the same thing but around a year ago exactly we had something similar with dd although she wasn't 'giddy' or any of those other things you've mentioned. She just suddenly lost the use of her left leg, it was very scary, she either dragged it behind her or reverted to crawling. We were rushed into A&E too and had lots of blood tests and scans and were told it might be neurological. It turned out to be something called Perthes Syndrome which strikes children mostly between the ages of 3-5 (dd was nearly 4 at the time) and is mostly to do with the hip. It was treatable and about 6-10 months later you'd never have known it had happened.

What's happening with your DS sounds a bit different to this. I just wanted to reassure you that even when it seems very scary there are all kinds of explanations.

Keep us posted, will be thinking of you xxx

Aefondkiss · 23/03/2007 23:45
