No, you have not.

ilovesprouts · 04/03/2010 15:15

rubyslippers · 04/03/2010 15:15

i have heard it as a boy's name

LaDiDaDi · 04/03/2010 15:15

Not keen.

Rae?

spongebrainbigpants · 04/03/2010 15:15

Not pretty. Is it even a girl's name or just a word?

Don't like it, sorry!

DorotheaPlenticlew · 04/03/2010 15:15

mmm ... I don't know. It doesn't really sound like a name to me, tbh. Hard to judge.

Nice word though and no reason why you should not use it!

said · 04/03/2010 15:16

Bay? Nah, that's rubbish. Just a weak sound.

DorotheaPlenticlew · 04/03/2010 15:16

at everyone not bothering to be diplomatic

ilovesprouts · 04/03/2010 15:18

different !!

specialsmasher · 04/03/2010 15:20

What about Rose? Plain old Rose - lovely, and not much used really.

MrsBadger · 04/03/2010 15:22

awful

ShadeofViolet · 04/03/2010 15:22

I had an Uncle Bay, so I would say its a boys name.

And I agree with trinity - I think Window, or leaf.

thumbwitch · 04/03/2010 15:25

leaf here. No in answer to your original question.

But perhaps you could try sticking an e on the end - Baye. How about that?

differentID · 04/03/2010 15:26

bay is a horse colour isn't it?
and it's a tree

and it's the name of one of Kirstie Allsop's sons.

spongebrainbigpants · 04/03/2010 15:30

Lol Shade, I thought you were suggesting Window as an alternative name to Bay!!

Flightattendant · 04/03/2010 15:32

Sorry it's not really, erm, either. People will think you copied Kirsty and got it wrong iyswim.

Keep thinking

daysoftheweek · 04/03/2010 15:32

leaf!

lottiejenkins · 04/03/2010 15:33

Bay is what Kirsty Allsopp's son is called.

lovechoc · 04/03/2010 15:34

not a name I'd choose but each to their own.

lovechoc · 04/03/2010 15:34

did she seriously name her son that??

mathanxiety · 04/03/2010 15:35

It's rare for a reason.

shootfromthehip · 04/03/2010 15:35

Nope, I don't think it's pretty. I think horses!

MrsBadger · 04/03/2010 15:38

actually I have just come off the phone to my mum and it transpires that one of my primary-school contemporaries has just named her daughter

Pinky Gorgeous [Surname]

so go right ahead with Bay - there are worse things in the world...
