Im trying but the farking keyboard is a bunch of poo!!!!

you do sound a tad green!!!

scottishmummy · 03/11/2009 20:52

how can one sound green?most peculiar

laughalot · 03/11/2009 20:54

green with envy

scottishmummy · 03/11/2009 20:58

wayne has discernible talent as footballer
collen is profligate shopper

neither evokes a modicum of jealousy
1 i do not play football
2 shopping is no biggie to me

SarahHW · 03/11/2009 20:59

I admit the name sounds chav but Kai is actually a welsh boys name. I am teacher living in Wales and there are a few boys I teach called Kai. However, I thought it a strange name choice as they are not welsh!

stoppinattwo · 03/11/2009 21:00

Ahhh scottishmummy save your windup lol

its as weightless as your arguement....I have a sense of humour, you it seems do not

Admit it, you are secretly jealous of Colleen.....the sooner you face your jealousy the sooner you get over it

(for the record that last bit was a joke just incase you didnt get it!!)

scottishmummy · 03/11/2009 21:02

you are very het up.whats yer beef?

stoppinattwo · 03/11/2009 21:07

ahhh im not really het up, I just dont like it when people make assumptions about celebs, colleen is actually a very nice person, she does like to shop, but she also does a lot of good stuff for others too.

And Wayne is really an inoffensive good footballer who just gets on with is job and doesnt really bother anyone....

Harmless hard working people....and I was just making a point thats all...

TheMysticMasseuse · 03/11/2009 21:15

I am at the snobbiness and nastiness of this thread! "very working class, as they are" takes the biscuit.

ffs get off it. personally i think Wayne and Colleen Rooney are a nice couple and Kai is not such a bad name. i know a few myself. as for Wayne, well it's his father name isn't it?

they're probably taking the piss out of of all the poncey MNetters name of choice

scottishmummy · 03/11/2009 21:18

imagine collen and wayne don't care what anyone thinks of name

nor should they

names are personal

browntrout · 03/11/2009 21:26

and they turned down £1m or something for the photo rights.

GibbonInARibbon · 03/11/2009 21:30

Goodness there are some horrid, spiteful and vile people on this thread.

How awful some of you are.

browntrout · 03/11/2009 21:35

they look as delighted as any normal happy couple leaving hospital following the birth of their first child. The chosen name isnt remotely worth sending up in the scheme of things. I really do think there have been some unnecessarily nasty comments about their choice - and a few offended MNers in the process. I think people are a bit disappointed that it isn't a ridiculous name in a Princess Tiami [sp?] sort of way and so are just slagging it off anyway because of who they are.

browntrout · 03/11/2009 21:36

blimey just googled that and it should have been Princess Tiaamii!

kaybee75 · 03/11/2009 21:38

chav-tastic!!

lilac21 · 03/11/2009 22:08

I know a kid called Rooney, now that would have been a great first name...Rooney Rooney!

BaronessBarbaraKingstanding · 03/11/2009 22:20

Ah, the photos of them leaving hospital are very sweet.
I remember it well, the mixture of pride, joy and terror.
How lovely for them, they look very happy.

MrJustAbout · 03/11/2009 22:21

He may grow up to be a jailer (Sottish), food (Maori), the ocean (Hawaiian), or maybe even an undead assassin ...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai_(LEXX)

Seriously though, it's not a bad name. It's not "apple", "kal-el", "moon unit" or even "peaches": it's unusual but it's not offensive to the ear and it's not identifying the kid as belonging to mad-slebby parents.

5inthehousesofparliament · 03/11/2009 22:22

BBK, it was nice to see a sleb couple with their new baby leave the hospital without stopping for a chat and photo op ala Jamie Oliver. And lovely that Colleen was out less than 24hrs after having him.

pispirispis · 03/11/2009 22:27

I?d be sooo offended and upset if I saw a thread slagging off my dd?s name like this. Especially if I was pregnant and hormonal. I hope there are no poor mners really upset by this.

I bet if someone posted asking what you think of the name Kai for my baby due next month you wouldn?t have all rushed to shout chavtastic. You just want to look down your noses at the Rooneys.

mm22bys · 03/11/2009 22:27

Strange I was just thinking about them yesterday and thinking the bub must be due soon....

And then I saw the headline....

Good on them, she looks so happy, I know some delight in demeaning them, but they will be great parents and I wish them all the best....

mm22bys · 03/11/2009 22:29

So lovely too that they have been together since they were 14. True love story....

MissMoopy · 03/11/2009 22:39

Hideous, so very hideous. Poor child.

MissMoopy · 03/11/2009 22:39

Hideous, so very hideous. Poor child.

Conundrumish · 03/11/2009 22:40

Hope she doesn't come on here. Can you imagine it - she's probably not slept for days and heard Mumsnet's a supportive place so logged on while feeding ...
