Thoughts on the name Ajax??

I know it's known as a cleaning product etc etc but that doesn't bother me. I think I quite like it as it's unique.

What are your thoughts on Ajax?

It’s a ski resort- the main mountain in Aspen. And people call their kids Aspen so I guess why not Ajax?! Snowmass and Buttermilk, the other areas you get on the lift pass, might be pushing it though!

I think most ppl would pronounce it Aye-ax because of the football team. I can't get to grips with your pronunciation.

As PP suggests Ajay is much nicer. I knew an AJ but he was a boring Anthony John.

I think of the old ad jingle 'Ajax the warrior'. But no-one his age will know it was once a cleaning product. They will only know it's an ancient hero like Hector and Hercules and Lysander (and a football team). It's a real name, so if you love it, why not?

Then that's the cleaning product, not the Greek 'hero'.

I find these types of names pretty pretentious tbh.

It’s meant to be pronounced I Axe I think as I remember from my Greek Classics lessons - I think it would permanently be mispronounced though which would do my head in! Also, the cleaning product name would put me off, sorry
