Ellora or Paisleigh?

Ellora and Paisleigh are the top two me and DH have chosen but not sure of which one to choose as we like them both equally. We both prefer spelling them differently than having them as Elora and paisley if anyone's wondering. DD is due in December so we've got time to have a think and we'd love to hear your opinions thanks.

@ILoveShula

How about Merileigh? Darne-Leigh, Mayvisbanque?

@FurzeMinister

Paisleigh is nice. Even better with a sibset of names themed and reconstituted/faux-gentrified from a list of the most deprived places in Scotland:

Castelle-Myllke
Dreghornne
Falkyrke
Gorbyllse
Govanne
Partique
Styrlynnge

Don't forget Penni-Leigh

Paisley's not a bad choice for a name, if you don't live near it. If you do choose it I would avoid any wild spellings that will make things difficult for your child.

@ZoChan

Elora is so pretty and is actually a Hebrew name meaning "my god is my light"

Instantly reminded me of the movie Willow too- Elora was prophesied to save the world, wasn't she?! Love it

Exactly what I thought of, when I was a kid and watched Willow I really wanted to have a baby called Elora Danan, still love the name.

Paisley isn't bad. I'd use Anfield as a name for her siser, or asa middle name.

I don't like either. Only go with Paisleigh if you're happy for people to assume you are illiterate.

Badly spelled names aren’t creative they just make you look like you can’t spell. There’s loads of lovely unusual names if you want something different, but making up spellings is just stupid and dooms your child to a lifetime of spelling their name and rolling their eyes as people judge you
