Do you have an bizarre favourite name?

My absolute favourite name for a girl is Story. Absolutely love, love, love it. I just know I could never use it in the first name spot for obvious reasons. I was just wondering if anyone else has a favourite name they’ll never use?

The main one to come to mind from my list is Isolde. Not sure if it qualifies as ‘bizarre’, more just unusual.

I think Isolde is gorgeous too.

I’ve a soft spot for Blaise, Cyprian, Perpetua (Grin), Gloria, Trystan (spelled intentionally wrong), Lysander, Zelie, Gustav, Irene, Bonnie, Tatiana, Nicolette.

I get that some aren’t all that “bizarre” but I doubt that, right now, most people would see them as acceptable. They’re either dated or a bit....wanky Blush.

Geneva. I think its beautiful and Genie/Jeanie is such a cute shortening. Everyone I mentioned it to was Hmm when I suggested it.

But my dad had a snigger and they sang about Emmanuel Petit "he's blond he's quick his names a porno flick". Equally he retired in 2004 so . . .

I was quite brave and went with unusual names for my DC, but I wish I could’ve used Moses for a boy.

I love the name Pepper for a girl. It just sounds fresh and upbeat.

It's interesting to see different people's take on what bizarre is here.Some of the names mentioned I wouldn't call bizarre. I like Lysander and Pandora (and would use them if my partner agreed) to name two mentioned above, and while they are unusual, I wouldn't call them bizarre though, despite the low use. And no doubt some will disagree on Pepper being here too.

Not bizarre, but unusual for a white British girl, Zamzam. DD came very close to having this
