Cool Scottish boys name

I heard a name when I was pregnant but didn't use it. My friend has similar taste in names and is pregnant now and I'm trying to remember this name to suggest!

It's not Dexter. It's not Alaisdair or Hamish. It's not Ruaridh. But it's along those lines I think. Can anyone think of any of those types of names and see can I ring a bell?!

As an aside on Menzies: presumably that's the root of the surname Mingus as in Charlie Mingus, jazz musician. It wouldnt be surprising if their are kids named Mingus out there.
