What middle name would you give Seamus?

Not pregnant, just thinking

What middle name would you give Seamus? Something simple as surname is quite a difficult Irish name

I want to like Seamus Adam and Seamus Edward but there's something not quite right

The seamus is not quite right. Please don't do that to a kid.

Floggingmolly · 26/07/2017 23:43

It's a perfectly ordinary Irish name, gamer Confused

frid · 26/07/2017 23:43

What do you dislike about it?

I quite like the way Alan sounds with Seamus, but not I like it as a name that much. Reminds me of my old French teacher

John.

Refilona · 27/07/2017 00:00

Don't really know but I love the name Seamus.

lenny2011 · 27/07/2017 00:01

Do you know seamus and James are the same name?
Seamus is the Irish version of James

frid · 27/07/2017 00:06

Seamus John is great, but it does feel a bit like a filler name. I know, it's ridiculously picky, this is why I have to think in advance

I also like Padraig, but I think it would be a bit too difficult in England to have 3 Gaelic names

OP posts:
zenasfuck · 27/07/2017 00:06

Yes Lenny I know that. We liked the sound of seamus James and by using the English version as a middle name we felt it gave him the option of just using James if he wanted to

MeanAger · 27/07/2017 00:08

I think Patrick sounds perfect with Seamus.

I am both Confused and Grin at pauric and seamus james!

BigTwit · 27/07/2017 00:09

Malachy?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/07/2017 00:11
