The most children with the same name in the same class

Everyone seems to worry about popularity, so what name have you known the most of in the same class?

Growing up I had six (!) Daniels in my class, so over a third of the boys. There were two in the adjacent class too.

I've also known two separate classes with three Isabelles each who were all Izzy.
Three Jacks.
Three Freyas too which is odd as it's not that popular.

In my last year in primary school there were 2 Kelly, 3 Claire and 2 Sarah's.
In my sister's year there were 2 Rachel's, 3 Emma's, 2 Anne's and 2 Rebecca's.

noodlebum · 28/06/2017 11:38

In primary school (in the 90's) I had 3 boys called Sam and 3 boys Jason in my class. The girls names were more varied though.

DrinkMilkAndKickAss · 28/06/2017 19:24

Not a school class, but one of the DC were in a sports team with around six Edwards. The coach made them all go by different variants of the name to avoid confusion!

I teach 12 Mohammeds this term. I teach PE, so not all in the same class, but there are tons.

Movablefeast · 29/06/2017 03:28

My dd"s teacher told me the class that had just moved up from her had 6 Olivias this was some time ago so they would be 17/18 now.

Movablefeast · 29/06/2017 03:33

My dd's current year (15/16 year olds) of 150 - so about 75 girls - has tons of Graces, I'm not even sure how many but on the low end it is 8, I have heard rumours there are 15 of them. Some call themselves Gracie and one now goes by Grey as she is sick of being lost in the crowd.

And dd's second name is Grace!

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 29/06/2017 05:02

Catholic school, I had 5 Michaels, 3 Daniels and 3 Davids in my class.

Girls were a bit more varied, but I think Jessica/Jennifer was pretty common across the board.

Out of DC's friends, I'd say Olivia, Ava, Theo, Max are the most common.

treaclesoda · 29/06/2017 05:16

There are about 200 children at my kids school, but there aren't any more than maybe two children with the same name. A couple of Noahs, Olivias, Amys and Adams. But no name that has five or six children sharing it.

In my year of 150 at school (1990s) there were three or four Davids, Catherines and Richards. And a few that had two people with the same name, such as Denise, Carol, Julie or Paul. But there was no one overwhelmingly popular name.

Glastokitty · 29/06/2017 05:24

Late 70s, five girls out of 12 in my class were called Tracy.

There is a generation of men in my workplace (Scotland) who are all called Ian or Iain. They are all late 50s/early 60s and work in finance or audit. I went to a meeting where every man at the table was called Ian Grin
