The most children with the same name in the same class

Everyone seems to worry about popularity, so what name have you known the most of in the same class?

Growing up I had six (!) Daniels in my class, so over a third of the boys. There were two in the adjacent class too.

I've also known two separate classes with three Isabelles each who were all Izzy.
Three Jacks.
Three Freyas too which is odd as it's not that popular.

In my dd's class there have been at various stages 2 Lily's, 2 Daisy's, 2 Rosie's and a Poppy - at one point half the girls in the class had a flower name.

In my ds class the only duplicated name is William.

At my ds2 nursery, at one point there were 3Olivers, Ollie, Olivia and Hollie.

Harry, Henry and James in the DCs' current classes.

woolyop · 27/06/2017 13:10

Yoko, we had two Giles's in my class too!

Unadon · 27/06/2017 13:53

Displaying my age here, but back when I was in school, we had a lot of people named Claire, Megan, Sarah, Marcus, Aaron, Daniel in my year.

dementedma · 27/06/2017 14:05

I'm very old so popular names in my classes were
Karen, Sarah, Lynn, Patricia, Maureen, Margaret

Paul, David, Mark, Michael, Ian, Andrew, Robert.

SpikeGilesSandwich · 27/06/2017 14:10

I was in a class with 6 Rachels, 4 Lauras and 4 Victoria/Vicky/Vicki/Vixs.

Girls round here are generally, Elly variations, Gracie or flower names.

Looks like DS is going to be in a class with mostly filled by Alberts, we know so many baby Albert/Albie/Berties.

shelleybee · 27/06/2017 15:14

2 Sian

At all-girls secondary school (early 00s):

2 Chloe
2 Sian (same girls from primary school)
2 Katherine / 1 Kathryn
1 Jennifer / 1 Jenny
1 Christy / 1 Christine / 1 Christina

Quadrangle · 27/06/2017 15:18

Four Carolines in one of the classes in my year at school. Three Lucys in dd's class.

AnyFarrahFowler · 27/06/2017 15:20

Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has already been said - but I have taught so many Ellie, Evie, Eva, Ava combinations!
Jack, Noah, and Joshua come up every year as well.

ShimmeringIce · 27/06/2017 15:35

My school year had at least three Emma Louises.
In DD's class, one-fifth are James.

FellOutOfBed2wice · 27/06/2017 15:46

As a child the classes were full to bursting with Emmas, Lauras, Sarahs, Kayleighs, Elizabeths and Catherines. Boys were all Andrew, David, Daniel and Michael (80s London). Pretty traditional. In DDs class now there are three Avas, four Olivias, two Islas and weirdly three Ophelias. No naming trends in the boys that are obvious.

UsernameInvalid66 · 27/06/2017 17:56

DS1 was once in a class with 4 Sams (all male).

DS2 was in a class with 4 Jordans (2 male, 2 female) and 3 Georges, so every time the teacher said "Jor..." about a quarter of the class looked up.

I know of a class with 3 Olivias and 2 Olivers.

I don't think I've ever been (in my own schooldays) in a class with more than 2 of the same name but at uni there were 2 Andreas in my year doing my subject. I don't think I'd ever met an Andrea before that.

UsernameInvalid66 · 27/06/2017 17:57

Sorry, that should have been 3 Andreas (2 wouldn't have been that strange) - out of maybe about 40 of us.

daisypond · 27/06/2017 18:54

My three DC were never in a class with anyone the same name - not just their names, no names were repeated in their classes throughout secondary or primary school. I'm in a very multicultural area, though, so there was a huge mixture of types of names - from all parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, etc.

IStoleThisUsername · 27/06/2017 20:27

Emma, Caroline and Samantha when I was at school.

Also 3 Bretts!

In dc school most popular are Jessica, Maddie, callum and Connor

YokoReturns · 27/06/2017 23:03

wooly we must have been in the same class!

I'm sad that there are loads of baby Berties because I thought I'd gone a bit less 'popular' for DS2 Sad

GinIsIn · 27/06/2017 23:12

When we chose DS's name at the start of my pregnancy it wasn't even in the top 100. By the time he was born it had shot into the top 40. By pure coincidence he will be the 6th one with that name when he starts nursery in November.

Athrawes · 27/06/2017 23:18

Jack, Josh x 2, Jacob x 3, Jared, Jayden, Joe, Joshua

Sierra259 · 28/06/2017 00:58

We had lots of James' and Christopher's. Girls Nicola, Helen, Louise.

We had only met one child with the same name as DD since she was born. And then there turns out to be one in her class at school!

OlennasWimple · 28/06/2017 01:05

In my form at school

Emma
Emma Louise x 2
Claire x2
Clare
Victoria x3
Simon x2
Andrew x2
