Arthur - Art, Artie (could also be Archie but can't see him going for that)

Cedric - Ced, Ceddy

Haffdonga · 28/03/2016 21:06

Was one of his suggestions Willoughby? That's a good Real Name and can be shortened to Will. I'd grab that before he comes up with anything else.

nectarini1983 · 28/03/2016 21:07

Your husbands choices are amazing! Great ammunition for jokes in the future. Bless. I like Noah best from your list!

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 21:07

We are both English! I suggested Fletcher, which I would never pick, but was a compromise, he isn't having any of it!

Aidan?

CordeliaFrost · 28/03/2016 21:09

OP - congratulations, he's absolutely gorgeous, and I love his head of hair. My daughter (almost 9 months) was born with a similar head of hair, so I know the shock! Grin

I would happily put your DH in touch with my cousin, who was named Tucker (this is back in the US of A), but who has long gone by his middle name of Daniel. There were only so many times he could put up with hearing "Tucker, Tucker, Mother Fucker" at school. Definitely one to avoid!

Raeray · 28/03/2016 21:10

Congratulation on your gorgeous boy!

I'll suggest a few I don't think are on here just in case one fits the bill...

Harrison
Cassius
Clement
Lucas/Luca
Mason
Elijah
Logan
Josiah
Aiden
Cole
Finlay

Was trying to find ones that were in the middle- hope it helps!

scribblegirl · 28/03/2016 21:10

OP. My DP thinks you're trolling and that no man could possibly be this obtuse. HTH Grin

Oh, and in that same vein, he suggests Baby McBabyface....

NorfolkEnchantsToday · 28/03/2016 21:11

I really like Lawrence!

nectarini1983 · 28/03/2016 21:11

I like Luca, Cassius, Asa and Ezra !?

Arriettyborrower · 28/03/2016 21:12

He is an absolute beaut.

What about Heath or Dashiell (Dash), kind of his vibe but not so nobbish? 😁

NorfolkEnchantsToday · 28/03/2016 21:14

Haven?

NorfolkEnchantsToday · 28/03/2016 21:15

I quite like Devon too, is it in regards to the famous cricketer?

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 21:31

He likes Mason

MissRabbitHasTooManyJobs · 28/03/2016 21:31

Congrats op he is adorable :)

I've never seen such different name styles!
I find it hard to believe you can compromise with him.

Aside from being arty- has dp have any reasons for such strange names?

What is dp's name? Could you incorporate it in some way? Or a family member who has passed away? Clutching at straws now but really feel for you...

Don't feel rushed to name your son.
I have an Oliver who is 13 and had an 8 year gap. Dd is now 5 and we had agreed on a name years ago.

If she had been a boy then we may have been in a similar situation.
My names were Caleb, Oscar, Joshua, his were Jenson and Sebastian as he's a major formula one fan Grin
Seriously though i would have got my own way ( somehow )

Good luck x

Undercooked · 28/03/2016 21:32

Dashiel is nice. I used to have a boyfriend called Dashiel nn Dash.

DingleberryFinn · 28/03/2016 21:32

What about Graydon or Tyler as middle ground names?

DingleberryFinn · 28/03/2016 21:32

If he likes Mason, does he like Nathan?

DarkBlueEyes · 28/03/2016 21:35

Jeez!!! Did he hog the gas and air or something? Those names are largely just wayyyyyyyy OTT. Having said that I do like surnames as names. Love fletcher. Griffin is ok Griff for short. Brodie and jack? Meh. Harrison? Scott? Morgan? Dylan? Frankly anyone who proposes oak as anamr rules themselves out of the race. Did that baby come out of your fandango or his? Whoever it was gets to choose.

GreenLounger · 28/03/2016 21:36

I can't have Tyler, it's too similar to our last name. No he refuses to have Nathan Sad

His name is Lee!

I'll keep at it, thanks all and I'll be giving him the suggestions x

DarkBlueEyes · 28/03/2016 21:36

Dexter?

DingleberryFinn · 28/03/2016 21:38

Maxim nn Max?

sky1010 · 28/03/2016 21:39

I think he looks like an Axl.

QueenOfThorns · 28/03/2016 21:40

Mason is another occupation Grin

JacobFryesTopHatLackey · 28/03/2016 21:40

Hang in there green. At one point, DP suggested Giacamo, as in Casanova, for the son that would be Ewan.
