Can I name my child after a vegetable?

My DH has a list of traditional names he wants to call our child. Things like Mary or Sarah if it's a girl and John or Michael if it's a boy.
I've talked to my friends about it and they all seem to think this is a good idea but I have my own list of names that my DH thinks I got rid of.
What I want to know is; are these names good names for a child? So far I've got: Endive, Guava, Pepper, Radish and Zucchini. I like them because they sound exotic and unique.
What do you think?

Radish is an awesome name. Go for it.

I really hope you're kidding. If not, I hope you wait until this crazy hormonal storm you're clearly in the grip of passes, before you attempt to name an innocent child.

Courgette. Definitely.

Pepper is nice, but might get confused with Pippa, which is a bit last year.

Chard for a boy, maybe?

Not Pepper. Well not any of them really, but especially not Pepper or more uniquely Peppa.

Some Caleb has a daughter called Papaya I might be wrong

Cucumber is my favourite name.

I prefer most of those to Michael but that's probably just me.
