I met a lovely little boy and his mum in the US, he was about 5 and was called Caspian.

Maybe a Narnia fan?

D'oh! When I said Suet I meant Summer ..... grr.... autotext and babies .....

Suet would be a very unusual name.

Thornintherose · 28/01/2013 18:29

A baby named Hannibal - the Mum was quite eager to tell me it was the Father's, Grandfather's and Great Grandfather's name also.

Littlefish · 28/01/2013 18:32

I knew a Talon and an Anakin.

BinarySolo · 28/01/2013 18:32

I worked with a Gayatri. Not sure if I've spelt that right (as proven by my previous post, spelling's not one of my strong points Blush )

It was pronounced guy-a-tree

JuliaScurr · 28/01/2013 18:33

don'tmind I know a Genesta

Namely · 28/01/2013 18:35

I knew an Irish, really suited her. Also a Tor, I loved that name.

squeaver · 28/01/2013 18:35

I've met a little girl called Ladybird.

And two brothers called Zoom and Jet.

BinarySolo · 28/01/2013 18:36

I like Jett, but jet as a sibling to zoom? Well I guess it good to have a theme...

YourDaughterHasaTattoo · 28/01/2013 18:38

My aunt is called Erena, should be Elena after her dad's German family, but as my grandad couldn't speak much English when he registered her birth she got stuck with Erena. Always thought it was lovely Smile

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 28/01/2013 18:53

Someone I know has just had a Payton - never even knew that was a name, or a word for anything. Didnt know if boy or girl.

And with our accent people could say it like Painting.

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 28/01/2013 18:54

Oh and I.know a grown up Ember which I love.

PenelopePisstop · 28/01/2013 18:57

I heard a woman in Morrisons shouting her child 'Sherman'.

CheerfulYank · 28/01/2013 18:57

I know lots of girl and boy Paytons and Peytons, Gold. :)

It's big in America.

emsyj · 28/01/2013 19:00

Tor is just an alternative to Vicky as a shortening of Victoria - I know two.

Do you think it is acceptable to use the name Ladybird...? I'm really liking it...

wigglybeezer · 28/01/2013 19:03

The only Sherman I have ever met was a very large pedigree pig!

tazzle22 · 28/01/2013 19:03

I heard a man calling to his son a few weeks ago .... he was called Magic. Never heard this as a name before.

LalyRawr · 28/01/2013 19:06

My name is made up.

Alyiousa (Aly-wish-a).

Am current the only known person in the world with that name. Am trying to change that though, am suggesting it to everyone who is pregnant!

HoneyDragon · 28/01/2013 19:12

Lemon.

Never met another.

SilentMammoth · 28/01/2013 19:16

That sounds like a variant of Aloysia.

LalyRawr · 28/01/2013 19:17

My daughter that was stillborn was called Lemon. I craved them ridiculously while I was pregnant with her and couldn't think of a more fitting name for her when she was born.

WandaDoff · 28/01/2013 19:19
