I met a lovely little boy and his mum in the US, he was about 5 and was called Caspian.

Maybe a Narnia fan?

Binary - Was the surname Khan or Han? That is unusual Smile

By the way, Ghenghis (Cengiz) was not that Khan's name but an honorific meaning "warrior". His name was Temujin (Timuçin). People started calling him Ghenghis Khan after his never-ending military campaigns.

It was Ghengis Khan. I worked in a court and it was a child custardy hearing. The judge was shocked and remarked on it when the parents had left!

IslaValargeone · 28/01/2013 16:59

Ghengis Khan in a custardy hearing-that's no trifling matter.

ThePathanKhansWitch · 28/01/2013 17:51

Arf @ Isla! Grin.

NeverBeenToMe · 28/01/2013 17:56

i know a Caspian. Brother to Fabian and Kynan.

Also a Clayton and a Roderick.

Distant relative of ex-h is called Tanis - never met anyone else called that. Some days I think it's pretty, other days not.

Mind you, I wanted to call DD2 Tuesday - not many of them at school! - so am in no position to comment on anyone else's name!

SamSmalaidh · 28/01/2013 17:58

I met a Tulsi - that must be pretty unusual!

LadyInPink · 28/01/2013 18:00

I know of two boys called Tiger (9 and 3yrs old).

I also know a Venetia and knew a Storm (Storm would be in his late 20s early 30s now)

NowPlayingZone · 28/01/2013 18:03

Met a girl called Silkie Ness once. She was half Chinese & half Scottish & very beautiful.

SchmancyPants · 28/01/2013 18:03

We have a Honeybea at school. Yes, that is the correct spelling!

out2lunch · 28/01/2013 18:05

Distant relative is Linley -which I think is a lovely girls name

CremeEggThief · 28/01/2013 18:05

This may out me, but here goes: Thirza, Gerardine and Phena. Went to school with them all.

Camelscantdance · 28/01/2013 18:05

My husbands name is Quan. Have not met another, nor has he ever.

Fab41 · 28/01/2013 18:07

I worked with a Sukey once...

ShoeJunkie · 28/01/2013 18:09

I also know a Caspian.

BikeRunSki · 28/01/2013 18:11

I know a Liguanea, pronounced Li-Ga-nee.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 28/01/2013 18:12

I have a relative called Linley too, Out2lunch... he's male.

I love unusual names. Never had the courage to follow through when naming my DC though.

Megsdaughter · 28/01/2013 18:12

I minded a Keva, pronounced Cave-a, never heard of it before or since, her brother had a unusual name as well, but would out myself if I revealed it.

SamSmalaidh · 28/01/2013 18:15

Keva sounds like an anglicised spelling of Caoimhe.

BistoBearWithBaublesOn · 28/01/2013 18:15

I know a Deneil, a Donalda (ladies) and a Gage (boy)

petitdonkey · 28/01/2013 18:17

I used to know a Marina which was pretty uncommon in the Midlands circa 1989.

Hamilton was a dreamy posh boy at Uni that I never dared speak to...

DN went to school with Angel-Jade. I realise they are not uncommon buy hyphenated??

FriskyMare · 28/01/2013 18:18

Knew a Blessed (pronounced Bless - ed). Think thats lovely.

petitdonkey · 28/01/2013 18:18

Oh and I taught a Bede which I think is just gorgeous (as was he!)

BikeRunSki · 28/01/2013 18:19

I once taught a Song (also a Suet, but not that unusual) and work with a Drystan.

niceupthedance · 28/01/2013 18:21

Met an Abraham Lincoln on the dancefloor of a club in Ibiza (he showed me his passport to prove it).
