refuge.org.uk/2012/06/13/knit-for-refuge-campaign-gets-underway/

A few of us fancy doing a few squares for this, so here's a thread!

As blankets need to be 4x6 squares (24 total), the idea is that we arrange ourselves into small groups by geography and do a few each, then meet to put them together and eat cake

I'll link the previous Location thread shortly so folk can add themselves and get organising Thanks

Grin I'll re do them, sowing in the tails with dc edge, get the women at the yarn shop to check them, then post them.

SoupDragon · 26/09/2012 07:27

They will be fine, I'm sure :) Don't worry.

SoupDragon · 26/09/2012 11:01

Your squares arrived and are lovely :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/09/2012 12:42

So glad they arrived safely, and a HUGE thank you for putting our blanket together Thanks

If you need any more, just let me know, I have those three colours plus 'raspberry' which is nothing like fiesta Grin

SoupDragon · 26/09/2012 12:51

I"m not sure how I am putting it together yet... I've only ever put one together and that was almost exactly a year ago :o

Tweetinat · 28/09/2012 09:58

Okay, so first [ever!] granny completed but on re-reading thread last night I think the colours I've chosen will be too 'bright' with the rest. What do you think - shall I redo in more muted colours?

Oh, and sorry for unclickable link - using the App on phone and can't work out how to do it!

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 30/09/2012 08:44

That's fantastic! The brighter the better according to all the little girls I've ever known :o

My squares are in the post.

I've sent 4, but if we need more just let me know and I can make a few more.

Tweetinat · 01/10/2012 19:16

Thank you Pidj :) One more done, just two more to go. I'm super busy with both my jobs this week and think it's going to be at least this time next week before I can pick up a hook - hope that's okay?

KnottyLocks · 01/10/2012 19:37

Hola!
I have just about enough time to bung together a couple of squares if you need some. And I have Stylecraft in girly shades Smile

I will have squares on the go soon I promise. Stupidly finished maternity leave and started back at work the same week we started decorating the living room. With a 9mo. And I've gone back full time. And said 9mo is teething so we'll all getting very little sleep. I'm midway through my 4th and 5th rounds on my squares for my little hug so when I've finished those rounds I will start on these squares before I finish the little hugs. I don't think I'd have my full little hug done by the posting deadline anyway so it can go on hold for a few days while I whi up some squares for this. Is everyone else doing normal granny squares? Should I stick with the same theme?

SoupDragon · 02/10/2012 12:19

I've just had a packet from PantyBoy. Very nice indeed :)

PurplePidjin · 02/10/2012 12:21

Hahahahahaha Soupy :o

Pantryboy. Obviously.

PurplePidjin · 02/10/2012 12:47

I like the new version best

SoupDragon · 02/10/2012 17:23

I have been forced (forced I tell you!) to buy some cream to put these together with. Obviously I had to add a couple more balls to make the postage worthwhile.

And it is all your fault
