A few of us fancy doing a few squares for this, so here's a thread!

As blankets need to be 4x6 squares (24 total), the idea is that we arrange ourselves into small groups by geography and do a few each, then meet to put them together and eat cake

I'll link the previous Location thread shortly so folk can add themselves and get organising

The cream ones are mine, sorry - I'm so rarely involved in sending that i forgot to identify myself!

I haven't sent mine yet. But it's half term this week so I shall be able to get to the Post Office tomorrow [hsmile]

Hello, I'm working on a small baby ripple about 20" square that the children are keen to send to a refuge. Can I do that through this thread? Would also be delighted to do some granny squares if you need more and I have lots of stylecraft special dk in various colours. Let me know if you need more and if I should send the ripple to you (hoping to finish it over half term) x x

I have a packet of lovely squares from Somersaults :) conveniently the children are away with their father so I got to scoff the chocolate buttons myself :)

Are those all the squares I was expecting now?

Theodora, if your ripple doesn't match the Refuge requirements, how about a child in hospital?

I have started to put this together now :)

I've only ever put together one blanket made of squares and that was summer 2011!

It's all stitched together (slip stitch on the reverse). It pulls out flat but i suspect it needs blocking.

The border may help - I've only just started that though.

And this is only the first one! I need to see what's missing from the second one once this is done.

How are you anyway? :)

Is your tension a bit tight? I found dc the only way to even things up tbh, and it frames each square nicely.

I'm fab, PidjChick is awesome and dp is the mutts nuts at supportive daddyhood :)

:) My PFB is now a stinky teenage boy. [sigh] he used to have squidgable thighs and chubby cheeks. He went let me squidge his thighs now and he has cheekbones :o

Blanketwise, I don't like the DC frame though :) I don't think it's the tension as such... Anyway, I'm not undoing the bloody thing!:o
