A few of us fancy doing a few squares for this, so here's a thread!

As blankets need to be 4x6 squares (24 total), the idea is that we arrange ourselves into small groups by geography and do a few each, then meet to put them together and eat cake

I'll link the previous Location thread shortly so folk can add themselves and get organising Thanks

The cream ones are mine, sorry - I'm so rarely involved in sending that i forgot to identify myself!

Somersaults · 28/10/2012 15:01

I haven't sent mine yet. But it's half term this week so I shall be able to get to the Post Office tomorrow [hsmile]

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor · 28/10/2012 15:21

No rush, somersaults :)

I had a feeling there was one set I was waiting for.
Apart from my own, of course.
Which I haven't started.

Hello, I'm working on a small baby ripple about 20" square that the children are keen to send to a refuge. Can I do that through this thread? Would also be delighted to do some granny squares if you need more and I have lots of stylecraft special dk in various colours. Let me know if you need more and if I should send the ripple to you (hoping to finish it over half term) x x

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor · 30/10/2012 15:47

Have a look at the link at the start of the thread, it should have an address. At least I hope it does!

I have a packet of lovely squares from Somersaults :) conveniently the children are away with their father so I got to scoff the chocolate buttons myself :) Thanks

Are those all the squares I was expecting now?

Somersaults · 30/10/2012 18:10

Glad they arrived safely :)

And that you got to enjoy the chocolate in peace!

Theodora, if your ripple doesn't match the Refuge requirements, how about a child in hospital?

Team Hooker - Girlie

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor · 30/10/2012 19:50

That would be great if I could remember who sent what :o

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 30/10/2012 20:12

You should have 4 from each person, 28 in total. If you don't then someone forgot and we need to go through the thread to work it out!

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor · 30/10/2012 22:10

I think the only person who hasn't done them is me :o

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 31/10/2012 08:20

Hurrah :o

SoupDragon · 20/11/2012 07:37

I have started to put this together now :)

And today I will be undoing it as I've put it together wrong :o [dunce]

I've only ever put together one blanket made of squares and that was summer 2011!

PurplePidjin · 26/11/2012 04:58

Yay Soupy Thanks

It's all bumpy!

PurplePidjin · 26/11/2012 13:04

In what way? You Should be able to put 2 squares wrong sides together and dc in each st along...

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 26/11/2012 13:17

here

It's all stitched together (slip stitch on the reverse). It pulls out flat but i suspect it needs blocking.

SoupDragon · 26/11/2012 13:18

The border may help - I've only just started that though.

And this is only the first one! I need to see what's missing from the second one once this is done.

SoupDragon · 26/11/2012 13:28

How are you anyway? :)

PurplePidjin · 26/11/2012 18:46

Is your tension a bit tight? I found dc the only way to even things up tbh, and it frames each square nicely.

I'm fab, PidjChick is awesome and dp is the mutts nuts at supportive daddyhood :)

:) My PFB is now a stinky teenage boy. [sigh] he used to have squidgable thighs and chubby cheeks. He went let me squidge his thighs now and he has cheekbones :o

Blanketwise, I don't like the DC frame though :) I don't think it's the tension as such... Anyway, I'm not undoing the bloody thing!:o
