A few of us fancy doing a few squares for this, so here's a thread!

As blankets need to be 4x6 squares (24 total), the idea is that we arrange ourselves into small groups by geography and do a few each, then meet to put them together and eat cake

I'll link the previous Location thread shortly so folk can add themselves and get organising Thanks

Grin Twirls in wearing a pair of crocheted panties

Glad they arrived safely - if you need any more making please say and I can do them asap

SoupDragon · 02/10/2012 19:17

I've no idea if I'll need any more. Well, obviously i need more than i have at the moment but that's because not everyone has finished yet :) I've deliberately not made any so I can just fill in what's needed.

VintageEbonyGuitar · 02/10/2012 20:15

Will post tomorrow [cheesy grin]

Somersaults · 02/10/2012 22:40

Will start before the weekend.

SoupDragon · 02/10/2012 22:42

Oh, no need to look sheepish. after all it's acrylic not wool

SoupDragon · 02/10/2012 22:43

Actually, that reminds me of a rhyme from my teen years...

Mary had a little lamb
She tied it to a pylon
10000 volts went up its bum
And turned its wool to nylon

Tweetinat · 02/10/2012 22:44

So I had a child free couple of hours this afternoon and cracked the last two squares but I'm Blush as one is nearly 1cm bigger than the other and that one was just on the limit for 6 inches so it may be no good Angry. Will send anyway but let me know if I should redo.

VintageEbonyGuitar · 04/10/2012 14:21

Will have mine in the post this afternoon 2hrs odd travelling time atm They are thoroughly shite so don't be afraid to bin them and apologies if it's more work for everyone else.

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 14:29

Lovely squares, Tweet :)

Somersaults · 04/10/2012 19:30

Could I request a pic of the squares you have so far Soupy? Then I can choose nice colours to match :)

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 19:33

Two squares done, two to go.

Mine are mixed grannies using candyfloss pink, lavender and Stylecraft 'magenta'.

Somersaults · 04/10/2012 20:34

And how many rounds are everyone's squares? I know six inches but just to give me an idea! I've chosen Stylecraft fondant, magenta and clematis I think.

Somersaults · 04/10/2012 20:38

Actually, looking back at pics of other squares I think I'm going to do plum, magenta and pomegranate instead :)

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 20:38

There is cream, a deep rose pink... Er... A bit of that vibrant turquoise and a more vibrant purpley pink like blackberry juice. and I'm too lazy to get off my rear end to go and photographer them :)

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 20:40

I think I have virtually every colour a good enough variety of Stylecraft to allow me to make squares to compliment whatever squares I'm sent :)

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 20:46

Blackcurrant one sounds like 'plum'. It's loverly.

Off to count my rounds.

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 20:48

I think it was redder than Plum er... I don't know. The squares are on top of a shelf in my kitchen and its cold out there :o

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 20:49

Ok, my squares are 6 rounds of Tr, finishing off with 2 rounds of HTr.

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 20:52

Today i discovered that Emporer is a lovely colour.

And I've just noticed that with code SC20 gives 20% off Stylecraft at Deramores

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 20:55

Gah! I shall resist the Deramores code. I will. I WILL. I will .....

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 04/10/2012 21:32

Mine were magenta and cream

VintageEbonyGuitar · 04/10/2012 21:37

Have posted them, they're a pale pink one colour.

Somersaults · 04/10/2012 21:42

When you say 6 rounds of treble I get that, and I know what htr is but do you mean htr clusters? Or instead of a round of dc you did two rounds of htrs?

I'm happy with my colour choices, I think they look fab together and it sounds like they'll go great with what has been done so far. I just need to know ow I'm finishing them off now. With a round of dc, or a round of htr? Or with neither and just normal granny clusters!

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 22:16

I think I do HTr solid edge out of habit now instead of a DC last round. I like the way it adds body iyswim.
