That's lovely, great colours :)

SoupDragon · 31/05/2012 19:50

Thank you :)

I went with a plain border in the end... Fill in the rippled bits, SC and then crab stitch round the very edge.

I'm a confirmed single hooker - I did briefly try knitting but it isn't for me.

I'm working on two blankets at the moment as well as various odds and ends.

Bumper, I run a crochet club in school for year six - they've only been doing it for 6 months and some of them are making amazing stuff. We started with phone socks and they have gone on from strength to strength, infact, two of them were teaching me how to do a very complicated pattern today - they'd seen it on youtube and had prefected it.

I've started a new project, cos I don't have enough already on the go!

rainbow ripple blanket

It's going to have all the colours in the rainbow when it's done :)

ds had a rare nap in his crib this afternoon so started on a pair of boat shoe type baby slippers :) not sure they're going to fit but they're really cute!

Does everyone else know about Garn Studio(you'll need to scroll down the page to view)? I came across them on another MN thread, and apparently some of their patterns are on Ravelry, but I've never come across them before; they have (whisper this) wearable crochet patterns. Heresy I know, but the number of shapeless garments I've seen in crochet books if I want to make anything other than cushion covers and blankets.

This has gone on the list to make, as has this.

TwoJackRussellsandababy · 01/06/2012 18:54

Yup, my blanket is in nepal, v nice to work with and really really reasonably priced :D

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 01/06/2012 19:37

Can anyone recommend a nice 3ply yarn?

Years ago I made a blanket in a design I really like - I've being trying to recreate the pattern and I think I've managed it but I'd like to make it in 3ply, or something with a similar weight.
When I first made it I'd only just started crocheting and I made it in a horrid shiny acrylic, I'd like to recreate it in a beautiful yarn.

Pantry, for baby stuff I like anything with bamboo in the mix. Sirdar seem to have a good range and are widely stocked in the UK.

I just walked into my local wool shop with some vague ideas and the nice lady let me squidge stuff till I found something I liked Blush

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/06/2012 13:07

I have managed one using trebles into the ring instead of doubles, tis a much better size for what I need. Next time I shall experiment with using different colours. And I did use HTC

SoupDragon · 03/06/2012 13:19
