Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from ApocalypseCheese, CheerfulYank, Anyfucker, HairExtensions, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Ooo I've missed some extra questions:

Pink I love

Music wise I'm enjoying Michael Buble right now but not one specific set of lyrics.

I'm also starting to parent in ways I never planned to lately as well Hypocrite? Moi?

i still love listening to westlife, my fav at mo i think is called written in the stars the lyrics "stay with me dont fall asleep to soon, the angels can wait for a moment". morbid but i love there music - just relaxes me.

and as for being a mum, they will never have sweets or go to bed late - yup i failed on both lol

CheerfulYank · 06/08/2010 01:49

I really like brown, blue, and white at the moment. I wanted my house to have the feel of a beach cottage- you know, like it would be okay to come in with sandy feet :) So everything ended up one of those colors.

Anyone have any weight loss tips besides, like, eat less and exercise more?! :o I'm feeling really down today because a fairly new friend of mine (as in, met her after I had DS) saw some pre-baby of me today. Anyway she was all, "Oh my God, I mean, wow, just oh my God you look so different..." and so on. Sigh...I know, I know, it's not baby weight since DS is three years old. I really need some motivation here, anyone got some for me?

teaandcakeplease · 06/08/2010 09:13

Afraid not, as I'm a size 16 since children Smile

Smile

How is everyone ?

gomummy · 06/08/2010 19:38

Tiredmum the black wallpaper sounds striking! Lots of wood here so lots of black with it. Except the dining room, it is exactly Cheerful's colours of brown/blue/white. Oh and You've Got Mail! :)

Hey Elmo! Hope things are well with you. Much worse here on the neighbor front, but still can't talk about it, ugh.

Oh Cheerful it drives me a bit mad when people comment on how different I look since DS was born, I always smile but cringe a bit inside...

gomummy · 06/08/2010 21:40

Caught up now, Cheeky you will have to drive up with Cheerful, you'll run right through NYC on the way...Goooooood shopping (NYC, not here, lol!), great food... :)

elmofan · 06/08/2010 21:44

Oh gomummy sorry things are getting worse with the neighbours Sad you know where i am if you need to vent .

DD had a big tantrum at bedtime grrr

teaandcakeplease · 06/08/2010 22:56

No convincing needed Smile

Be so lovely (if only)

gomummy · 06/08/2010 23:15

At least virtual trips are free. Grin

CheerfulYank · 06/08/2010 23:18

I know! We must have a meetup sometime, it would be so fun. Perhaps I could sell a kidney on the black market?! I'd be willing to take it for the team. :o

I had a lovely day; two of DS's friends came over to play and they kept him totally occupied so I could clean and do laundry. Hurrah!

gomummy · 06/08/2010 23:22

Sorry to hear that Elmo, the bedtime ones are the worst, imo. I don't get bothered really any other time, but I always feel badly putting DS down for the night right after a tantrum. :(

gomummy · 06/08/2010 23:27

Grin @ Cheerful's "take it for the team."

Perhaps I could retrain as a pilot? Or captain of a yacht? Once Tea finds that money tree I'm sure we could whip up an airplane or big boat somehow...

CheerfulYank · 06/08/2010 23:39

Ooooh, yes, retrain as a pilot! And then meet lots of lovely big-fella pilots for tea. I'm useless in the flying/yachting bit but I can canoe like nobody's business. :o

gomummy · 07/08/2010 00:10

Can't say that I'm surprised Cheerful, I used to canoe regularly before DS came along! Not the tippy ones though, the big ones with the foam.

Pilot thing may not be the best plan given my fear of heights... Confused

Grin
CheerfulYank · 07/08/2010 01:24

LOL! Can't you just see us on the nightly news...headed for the UK in canoes with a supply of wine and a portable CD player blaring Darius Rucker! :o

gomummy · 07/08/2010 01:47

PMSL - almost soaked my keyboard with that image Cheerful! Grin Solar powered mp3 charger and we can hang the wine over the side like a stringer of fish to keep it cool...ahhh yes, the plan is coming together...History in the Making.

gomummy · 07/08/2010 23:13

Evening all! :) How is everyone tonight?

teaandcakeplease · 10/08/2010 20:28

Tea decides to drink the now warm Chablis Grin

OP posts:
gomummy · 10/08/2010 22:54

Cheers Tea! :)

Just finished a giant homemade pizza that should easily have fed a family of six or seven, but the three of us polished it off with embarrassing ease! How are you tonight?

teaandcakeplease · 10/08/2010 23:10

Ooo yummy! I'm ok, still tired with all the palava with the dummy fairy on Saturday and the continued fall out since.

I need to get to bed now. Weather is so rubbish here, August always seems to be to me Hmm

Any news over the pond?

OP posts:
gomummy · 11/08/2010 13:29

Nothing particularly exciting, sort of the way I like it, lol!

How's it going with the dummy departure? Is she able to sleep?

elmofan · 11/08/2010 13:52

Hi tea & gomummy Smile
Hows things ? I'm being driven slightly mad by the dc's at this stage into their holidays only 20 more days left until school starts up again Blush lol .

teaandcakeplease · 11/08/2010 13:56

She still gets cross at bedtime and shouts at me for a while and tells me to go and buy more Blush Poor thing, she'll get there, it is slowly improving, less tears etc. She's 3 and she's always had one, so it was never going to be stright forward. So glad DS sucks his thumb though and I never have to do a dummy fairy again!
