The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from ApocalypseCheese, CheerfulYank, Anyfucker, HairExtensions, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oooo yum!

I'm ok been to visit a friend today, like ghost of Christmasthe past as I haven't seen them since H and I separated and they didn't really know anything, all my memories with this person were pre separation. I moved there for H's job and left without saying goodbye, when the affair came to light, was in shock really at the time. Lovely day though, nightmare on the M25 getting home though. So the DCs went to bed far too late.

How about everyone else?

gomummy · 23/07/2010 15:15

Are you ok Tiredmum?

Tiredmumno1 · 23/07/2010 16:32

so i have to feel sorry for myself

elmofan · 23/07/2010 17:10

Oh no you poor thing , Do you have any motilium Tablets ? they are great at settling a sick tummy . Hope you feel better soon .

Tiredmumno1 · 23/07/2010 19:29

I have never heard of them elmo, i will have a look tomorrow, ta.

i shall just cuddle up on the sofa when the kids are in bed and watch a bit of tv

CheerfulYank · 23/07/2010 19:45

Hope you're feeling better, tiredmum! I don't have a license either, btw. In America if you say you don't people stare at you like you've got three heads, everyone here drives. I've really got to get on it...

I'm so sorry for your friends, Elmo, I just can't imagine.

DS and I went to the zoo with a friend of mine and her DC yesterday-it was tons of fun and they had a lot of great animals. DS keeps going on about the "funny ring-a-teens!" (orangutangs, and they were funny; I liked them quite a bit myself! )

Hope everyone has a lovely day and again, Elmo, I'm so sorry for your sad news.

gomummy · 23/07/2010 19:59

Hope you're feeling better soon Tiredmum! Flat ginger ale is all I can do when I feel like that, probably not much help to you. Cuddling up on the sofa always good too!

Opposite here on the driving, unless you live in one of the few real cities or the many towns, you have to drive for quite a while to get anywhere, literally. Much, much longer than anywhere else I've ever been anyway. Until MN, I had never "met" anyone (that I was aware of) who didn't have a license as it is pretty much a requirement for daily life where I am. I love the idea of being able to live without driving! Sooooo!

Oh Cheerful that is so much fun! We did a zoo a few weeks ago, and now that DS is old enough to enjoy it, it was great! I only took a zillion or so photos.

gomummy · 24/07/2010 15:45

Hello Babybarrister! Welcome to the bench, have a muffin!

CheerfulYank · 24/07/2010 19:44

mmmmmm, muffins!

Hello, babybarrister, and welcome! AIBU's rough, have some sympathy and a muffin!

Today was DS' Toy Story birthday party...I am so in love with my boss at the theater for letting me have it! I was a little nervous because some of the kids and parents showed up a bit early and I didn't have games or anything; luckily they were content to run up and down the aisles screaming and waving balloons. It worked out perfectly as there were only nine little ones and assorted parents-nobody minded if the kids spilled popcorn, got up to dance or shouted during the film. So fun! I'm totally wiped out though, will definitely need a nap today. (Preferably in front of the air conditioner, it's toasty today! Is anyone else having a heat wave?)

Hope everyone's having a marvelous weekend! Thanks for polishing the bench, gomummy, tis very shiny.

teaandcakeplease · 24/07/2010 20:47

Crap afternoon today at my parents. Posted in AIBU but people are being nice so far and not flaming me.
