Hi cheeky

teaandcakeplease · 17/07/2010 21:08

Oh Lordy! My DD asked to go to bed in knickers I couldn't say no, could I? As I truly want her to start doing it, but DS was already asleep so I couldn't put an extra sheet on the bed just in case.

OP posts:
elmofan · 17/07/2010 21:18

Aww thats brilliant tea . Try to put her on the toilet later when you are going to bed yourself < this worked with dd> then put her back into her bed & fingers crossed she will have a dry night . Good luck

CheerfulYank · 17/07/2010 22:45

Hi all! Gomummy that's too bad about your neighbors! Should I come up and give 'em hell for you?!

Hope it goes well with the knickers, tea!

What's everyone been up to? I feel like most of my online time lately has been alotted to finding out if Wentworth Miller really is gay. If so, it throws one more obstacle in my master plan to shag him blind. Sigh...oh well, I am nothing if not a determined woman.

I can't believe I just admitted that...

gomummygo · 17/07/2010 22:57

Good luck Tea's DD!!! (Couldn't find you but sent you an e/m) DS tried this a couple of weeks ago, I felt the same, couldn't say no, wanted to support him. Let's just say I hope yours turns out better than our attempt did! Will still let him do it next time he asks though! [crazy gomummy doesn't mind laundry at all]

Yes Cheerful you should come up and sort them out! Wentworth Miller huh? Old Turtle is GREAT, sent you a note earlier.

Cheeky I have sent you a friend request and Elmo I have sent you an e/m!

teaandcakeplease · 17/07/2010 22:58

Whose that? I seem to only watch CBeebies now and don't have a clue about much else...

Because she went to bed so late tonight I'm not wanting to wake her for a wee now, so I may regret this tomorrow. She had a long and late nap today, so she wasn't tired and I didn't put her to bed until 9pm!!! She wee'd before I put her down but then sat and chatted in her bed for ages before falling asleep.

OP posts:
gomummygo · 17/07/2010 23:12

Hope she makes it Tea! DS doesn't go to bed until around 9pm and is often actually dry in the morning but wees massively the very moment he wakes!

CheerfulYank · 18/07/2010 01:42

Oh I'm the same Gomummy, love to watch DS sleep!

Hope she makes it too, tea! Wentworth played the main character in the show Prison Break. He's beautiful, he really is. I'm not usually much of one for pretty boys, but for some reason he makes me unable to complete a sentence. The other day I was watching Prison Break with the DH and I thought I was keeping my lustful stares respectful and chaste admiration under wraps, and all of a sudden DH starts laughing and says, "Jeez, you and the TV need to get a room already!" I would try to link a pic of him but the stupid internet is being incredibly slow.

Glad you like Old Turtle, I'll check my email.

teaandcakeplease · 18/07/2010 09:00

No accidents but she didn't wee for ages this morning, so perhaps she didn't drink enough yesterday evening and that's what did it?

Now understand who Wentworth is, never watch that but I have seen trailers.

Cheerful I am not surprised that you are the same - DNA strand and all! LOL at your DH's observation!

elmofan · 18/07/2010 14:45

You've got mail gomummy

elmofan · 18/07/2010 18:55

< brings warm homemade apple tart & cream to the bench>

How is everyone today?

teaandcakeplease · 18/07/2010 20:20

Ooooo yummy! Thanks Elmo.

All ok here. DD had 2 accidents today, one in the car when she was asleep and one on the way home again, when she didn't mention she needed the loo

elmofan · 18/07/2010 20:39

Ahh its early days tea

Its been raining non-stop here today So ive done lots of baking with the dc's .

gomummy · 19/07/2010 01:41

Imagine I've missed you all for the night.

Empathy Tea - the car seems to be so difficult, doesn't it? DS never tells me he needs to go in the car, it is odd. And a pita to clean up! (Pet peeve - dismantling carseat, not sure why)

Elmo please blow some of those rainclouds over this way! We have a terrible heat wave still happening and the major waterway near where I live is lower than it's been in a century!

CheerfulYank · 19/07/2010 03:45

Yes the car is awful for accidents, I'm with you on that! It is so frustrating, isn't it? It's so hard to be nonchalant like all the experts say you're supposed to be when they don't tell you, at least I think it is. I hold it under wraps but inside I'm thinking "why didn't you tell me^?!?!?! Grrrr!" It sounds like she's definitely making progress though! Yay for tea's DD.

Well, it was DS's 3rd birthday today! It was a lovely, low-key day but I'm feeling a bit melancholy. I mean, 3 is it, isn't it. The utter end of baby-hood! My parents came to see him and we had cake and pizza. He wanted a cake shaped like a castle and like a total fool I agreed to make one. What I ended up with MAY have looked somewhat like a castle, but only one in abject ruin that some vandal had spray-painted bright yellow. (I tried to make gray icing, but it looked like baby poo and for some reason I felt yellow would be an appropriate substitute. I dunno where these thoughts come from...) But it was fun and afterwards we went to the little nature park by our house and went wading in the river. It was nice and cool and totally wore all of us out, except DS of course! This coming weekend we're having his party for his friends; I've sweet-talked the owner of the movie theater where I work into letting me have a private showing of Toy Story 3 for DS and handful of his buddies. I expect major cool-mom points for years to come!

How are the neighbors, gomummy? I hope that's going well for you; it can be so stressful.

Will try to stop by tomorrow morning for raspberries and scones- sounds delightful!

teaandcakeplease · 19/07/2010 11:54

Ooooo raspberries, scones and coffee! Mmmmmmmm!

Sounds like a seriously great party for your DS Cheerful!

Aww Happy birthday to cheerful's Ds

More rain here today - wish i could send you some rain gomummy

gomummy · 19/07/2010 13:25

Aww Cheerful, your DS' birthday sounds wonderful, major points on the private screening of Toy Story 3! (Oh I totally understand, btw, I secretly cried a little when DS turned 2 and everyone kept saying "he's not a baby anymore!" ) Had to laugh at your post though as I also had agreed to make a specially requested cake....ugh the trauma of the memory...I was so delighted when I brought it out and DS actually knew what it was!

Neighbors were ok last night, we got some of Elmo's rain which I think kept them inside!

Wonder where Tiredmum has got to these days?

CheerfulYank · 19/07/2010 21:37

I was wondering the same, where is Tiredmum?

Oh and gomummy about DH observing me watching the TV...once I had on a Buffy the Vampire episode, the one where David Boreanaz does shirtless tai-chi, and DH asked me ever so politely, "I'm sorry, would you like me to leave the two of you alone?" The man reads me like a book, I swear! Hahah, what cake did your DS request? I really don't know why I assume I can do these elaborate baking things. I always decide it's possible, and it never is!

Mmmmm, raspberries! Delish.
