Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from ApocalypseCheese, CheerfulYank, Anyfucker, HairExtensions, gomummy, tired mum and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Hello Gomummy!

HairExtensions · 02/07/2010 02:07

Right back at ya!

TheLadyEvenstar · 02/07/2010 06:54

I fell asleep - don't think the 4 paracetomol extras helped me stay awake lol

gomummygo · 02/07/2010 19:51

Hello all on the bench! Tis Friday!!!

teaandcakeplease · 02/07/2010 20:17

Lady buy some Cortisol mouthwash from Chemist. You may actually need antibiotics though if it doesn't improve. I'd personally recommend you see dentist, you may need the hygeinist to do some tlc in there. Also maybe change toothbrushes too to a better one and are you flossing? Stuff between teeth may agitate gums too maybe?

Thats my two pence worth.

Gomummy - It was heaven shopping without 2 DCs under age 3. Amazing even

for you Tea, a much deserved treat. I can only imagine being able to walk close to a store display these days, let alone actually shopping lol!

Quiet on here tonight?

CheerfulYank · 03/07/2010 00:56

I humbly offer as Bench Treats: some mini lemon meringue pies baked by DS and I this afternoon. If it's a bit gritty, it's only because I caught DS stirring with his beach shovel. So...

And again with the constant pooping in his pants today! What is up with that? I'm being very patient and all but secretly am losing my mind. Any advice?

Lady, I was going to prescribe saltwater too. Hope you feel better!

HE, of course you can FB me! Just email me your info: [email protected] and we'll get this started.

Gomummy, what work forbids facebook? Are you a spy?

Mumcentreplus · 03/07/2010 01:08

She's probably a civil servant (part spy - part pissed off)..

CheerfulYank · 03/07/2010 01:36

Heehee, probably. For some reason my email is not letting me open it, HE. Grrrrr...

gomummygo · 03/07/2010 01:53

Thanks for the mini lemon meringue pie Cheerful'sDS! We have had great poo-success with Thomas-related bribery?

Not a spy, but I could write a v. long list of work that forbids facebook. Mumcentre is not all that far off, lol! I will send you a little e/m about it.

CheerfulYank · 03/07/2010 01:55

Ooh, delightful! Would love to know more about your secret espionage. DS does love Thomas, perhaps I'll try that...

gomummygo · 03/07/2010 02:27

Cheerful - You've Got Mail!

We've had great success with Thomas underwear...."No poo on you Thomas!"

CheerfulYank · 03/07/2010 18:31

I got a package from Sidge today, bless her, which contained some chocolate buttons. I used those as bribery all morning until- SUCESS!

Gomummy, I'm sorry but in my mind you are a spy. I was watching the Bourne Ultimatum last night and thinking "I wonder if Go can disable someone with a book and her bare hands?"

Have a great weekend all! It's Indenpendence Day tomorrow so it's all busy busy busy here.

gomummygo · 03/07/2010 18:45

Yay chocolate buttons!

Oh certainly I can Cheerful, LOL! That's down to years of martial arts training though, not any former employment! Quite like the Bourne Ultimatum too.

CheerfulYank · 03/07/2010 18:52

I wanted to watch something where I wouldn't need to pay too much attention and still understand the plot. "Oh ok...they're after him again. And again. And...oh, ok, they're after him."

I did martial arts too! But not for years unfortunately. I really liked it though.

Sigh...am trying to find an affordable bouncey castle for DS' knight-themed birthday party next month. The things we do!

elmofan · 03/07/2010 18:55

Just popping in to say hello , the dc's are on their summer holidays from school now godhelpme how is everyone on the buddy bench ?

Tiredmumno1 · 03/07/2010 19:16

hi all,

blimey how come some of the kids summer holidays are so early??

hope everyone is ok.

elmofan · 03/07/2010 19:41

I'm in Ireland tiredmumno1 they get 8weeks holidays here .

gomummygo · 03/07/2010 19:43

Cheerful, I am not surprised about the martial arts as I do believe we must share a strand or two of DNA somewhere! Ooh you will achieve "best mum in the world" status for the bouncy castle! Here you can find the toddler-sized ones for a fairly decent price at Canadian Tire, don't know if there is something similar in US? Had DS' birthday a while back and it was more work than a home reno, I know what you mean by "the things we do!"

Hi Elmo and Tiredmum! All good here, just sweltering in a heat wave and envying folks with central air conditioning! How are you both?

gomummygo · 03/07/2010 19:44

It varies quite a bit here for summer hols, but they all end in June and start up in September.
