To have sex infront of 18 month old

We were having a cuddle that turned into a bit of a quickie. Ds was playing in his room and occasionally sticking his head around the door but generally not paying much attention to us.

Afterwards I turned around and came face to face with ds sitting on our bed, reading a book and showing me a picture.

He didn't seem at all bothered.
Thoughts?

I was actually starting to wonder this myself ilovesprouts since OP hasn't really made much appearance replying to other posts.

cananybodyhelp · 25/03/2010 21:03

This is so not right - I really hope it is somebody trolling.

SolidGoldBrass · 25/03/2010 21:06

What an almighty fuss about nothing. Nearly everyone who is in a relationship and has DC will get caught by the DC at some point and it really isn;t a big deal unless someone decides to make it a big deal. If this toddler is used to pottering in and out of Mummy and Daddy's room first thing in the morning when they are in bed, he's not going to make any particular distinction between them lying in bed or wriggling a bit under the duvet. And, really, while it's not something you'd want to do on a regular basis, seeing an incident of affectionate sex between his/her parents is not traumatic or even very interesting to a toddler.

fifitot · 25/03/2010 21:06

Shows a lack of respect for the child I think.

To all the people who are defending OP, no she is not sick, no she is not a paedo, but her child is of an age where he will copy and act out behaviour. No, this incident will not scar him for life, but the label of 'sexualised behaviour' could.
I do not read the daily mail and have lovely sex with DP when both kids are fast asleep
:-)

AnyFucker · 25/03/2010 21:09

sgb...why make such a big deal of it on an internet parenting site then...if it isn't such a big deal^ ?

attention-seeking

oohhh, look at us, we have sex and everyfink

wanna make summat of it ???

pathetic

lovechoc · 25/03/2010 21:09

SixtyFootDoll · 25/03/2010 21:16

Exactly AF!

whomovedmychocolate · 25/03/2010 21:16

Oh yuck how vile!

You just wait till he copies his new learned behaviour at nursery and gets kicked out and an interest from social services.

I hope you are a bloody troll! Otherwise you both ought to be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves. WTF was the picture of? Mummy and Daddy wrestling?

shatteredmumsrus · 25/03/2010 21:18

Lack of respect for the child?! Oh do leave off! (oops, forgot, child MUST come before every part of the mothers life.....naughty IFancy...)

She got caught out having a fumble with her DC's daddy under the duvet and when she came too ('scuse pun...) DC had toddled into the room. It was a quickie that got caught, she was under the duvet. Granted, not ideal but she wasn't handcuffed to the light fitting with an orange in her mouth (I do do not do this myself. Ahem)

RubyBuckleberry · 25/03/2010 21:20

its not impressive, its just nice .

EdgeofReason · 25/03/2010 21:20

ROFL at Lockets!

My libido is now directly related to the proximity and consciousness of my ds6 and dd2. If the stairs even creak jeez I'm off (literally) Try to tell DH it's all about anticipation but really need to not be mommy at those momments thanks

AnyFucker · 25/03/2010 21:21

shandy...why does she have to crow about it in AIBU then ?

SixtyFootDoll · 25/03/2010 21:24

THey didnt just get caught, they merily carried on whilst child was toddling about the room.

Would you carry on if another family member walked in?

'Oh hi Dad, just a moment whilst I come....aaaah... thats better. Chuck us my pants will you?'

ifancyashandy · 25/03/2010 21:26

AF Don't understand your question - what do you mean 'why'? She came on her to get other peoples POV. She hasn't come back and 'shouted' at people for saying she was BU. Not crowed.

lovechoc · 25/03/2010 21:27

LOL @ sixtyfootdoll

it's just plain wrong isn't it?? and disturbing.

Rockbird · 25/03/2010 21:27

Ok so riddle me this then... If she was under the duvet it means they actually went to bed while he was mooching around. Forget the sex for a bit, but I can't get my head round leaving an 18 month old to roam the house while you actually go to bed? I can just about leave my 2yo for 30 seconds while I nip to the loo as long as I'm quick. I wouldn't trust her for any longer than that.

kittycat37 · 25/03/2010 21:28

This thread is really really weird - OP - if it was 'just one of those things' and you have any shred of concern for the thoughts of others, why choose such a gross thread title? Of course YAB totally U.

I just can't imagine a situation where one would carry one with one's toddler popping their head round the door and then be so unaware of their whereabouts that they could be sitting on your bed. WTF is that about?

I don't get it - I hope this thread is just attention seeking OP and not actually for real.

It's one thing to have one's DC 'catch you' by walking into the room unexpectedly in the middle of the night or something and another to be so oblivious that you don't even care that they're sitting on your bed whilst you carry on. I feel sick.

AnyFucker · 25/03/2010 21:28

shandy...the thread title itself screams look at me
