It always has
Knives, forks, spoons..... always

AI therefore BU to be irritated beyond belief that when DH unloads the sodding dishwasher that he cannot get it right? He always puts them in random places in our cutlery tray, but never knives, forks, spoons

I suspect he does it like this so that I stop asking him to do it, but we have been together for 15 years!

Knives, forks, spoons or AIBU?!!

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 14/04/2010 14:45

THK · 14/04/2010 16:25

luvverly time, grape scissors tad too small but hey ho... Im now officially posh!

Mother left on the hunt for pizza scissors??

Frosties - pure evil incarnate rather - snort sugar ???

Plastic containers for sure but only with white lids
Princess-yr Italien?
Knotty -Ciao

nickelbabe · 14/04/2010 16:43

sounds lovely.
i have friends in italy and would dearly love to visit them.

not my Frosties: OH eats them for breakfast. i wouldn't have them if he didn't. (he's a postie and burns off the calories before they've even been eaten!)
yes,yes, with white lids.

THK · 14/04/2010 17:19

nicklebabe - he deserves his frosties
Italy .... dreamy, cant think of anything negative ( except no pizza scissors) . Definately worth a holiday. Mother - aka Shirley Valentine however says she is bored living there , even with an Italian man

White lids - the best!

nickelbabe · 15/04/2010 10:58

right, in light of recent events, i might need one of these

majafa · 15/04/2010 18:47

Blue or Red lids for me!!

Bras
Pants
Socks

oh and definatley

Knives
Forks
Spoons

About time we sand the 'knifes, Forks and Spoons National Anthem' again me thinks..

nickelbabe · 16/04/2010 14:46

white lids only on plastic containers : all other lids are the colour they came! (ie re-used coffee jars!)

i'd love to hear the KFS national anthem...

and it's

SFK

majafa · 16/04/2010 15:02

Wrote it on a previous post, brain not working today, cant find it :-(

KFS

nickelbabe · 16/04/2010 17:11

ah, well, i'm sure you'll find it again! (when you need to win the argument, which, clearly, you're failing to.... )

SFK
SFK
SFK

(like a football chant! SFK, SFK, SFK; SFK,SFK, SFKay)

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 11:25

Ciao.

Today's offering:
Totally impractical Fabric cutlery

And following the Italian Vibe: Spaghetti forks

Kilner jars for storage in this house, or ceramic pots if on display. Tupperware stashed out of sight - ugly, ugly, ugly, but unfortunately useful.

nickelbabe · 17/04/2010 14:22

ooh, clever spaghetti forks.
i'd still get spaghetti everywhere though!

i like to have a mix of jars, though@ it makes it easy to find what i'm looking for without having to check labels.
only my pretty stuff is on display, though. (pretend posh)

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:15

Totally understand. How we look in this house after a spaghetti feast

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:17

What we should be wearing

THK · 17/04/2010 16:19

Ciao knotty - ohhhh - now I might have to have my bored Mum hunting down a bit of "novelty"

yes yes - kilner jars in cupboards ( but spring has to be facing same direction)
tupperware with 1 colour lid for freezer only.Ok admit to having found tall thin tupperware with handles perfect for standing cookery books inside and love that they all line up neatly and cleanly. But they stay hidden inside a cupboard.

and we havent started the bathroom yet

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:20

With this

displayuntilbestbefore · 17/04/2010 16:24

How nice to see this thread still running! I need to catch up on all the items that have been linked to so I can get a kitchen extension to make space for all the things I am clearly missing from my life

Knotty - would this be ok to wear during spaghetti night?

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:25

Buon giorno, THK

Now, wotcha keep your s'getti in then?

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:29

Display, that would be a fabulous choice to accompany a pork-based sauce. However, if we're talking a traditional spag bol, perhaps
this would be better?

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:30

For a chicken sauce

displayuntilbestbefore · 17/04/2010 16:32

now that is inspired!

Will see what I can find to keep spaghetti in..in the meantime, I wonder if one of these in my home would make me look all arts and craftsy

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:41

Trouble with those little things is I'd keep popping them in my gob. Totally useless piece of kit - therefore you must get it. Piste will HATE it

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:43

Spaghetti storage...now what to get.

This is nice

displayuntilbestbefore · 17/04/2010 16:44

I shall order some forthwith
..and chuck in this cruet set while I'm at it

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:49

A bargainous $148

This one

Good job spaghetti is cheap then.

KnottyLocks · 17/04/2010 16:54

Or

This

is a classy alternative.
