It always has
Knives, forks, spoons..... always

AI therefore BU to be irritated beyond belief that when DH unloads the sodding dishwasher that he cannot get it right? He always puts them in random places in our cutlery tray, but never knives, forks, spoons

I suspect he does it like this so that I stop asking him to do it, but we have been together for 15 years!

Knives, forks, spoons or AIBU?!!

ps: there are two different links in my post, not one.
the first is a picture, the second is the home page here

KnottyLocks · 27/04/2010 11:58

Excellent link, old girl!

Look, Look!
A spoon cupboard!

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 12:31

oooh!

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 12:37

ooh, look at the top left picture on this page

it's a latch made from spoons!

Megatron · 27/04/2010 12:38

I do have a slight issue with the wee tea strainer things shaped like various animals and the stabby things you use for corn on the cob. I'm not quite sure of the correct drawer etiquette for these so any advice would be much appreciated.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 12:38

it's like SFK porn!

KnottyLocks · 27/04/2010 13:10

Very expensive porn!

Right, Megatron. You need a miscellaneous drawer. Other things that go in are salad servers, pickle forks and spoons, chopsticks, lemon squeezers, mustard spoons, nutmeg graters, ya da, ya da...

Piste will tell you they are not needed and to throw them away.

She is WRONG. She is a weirdy beardy minimalist obsessive. Ignore her despot ramblings.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:20

in fact, Megatron, you need do no more than peruse tis most excellent thread on the subject for ideas.

we've done the cutlery world a great service.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/04/2010 13:25

Waves back to knotty ( using just two fingers)

KFS. I am right.

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:28

SFK.

i am right, Knotty is right.

just because you started the thread doesn't mean you're right
(esp as it's in AIBU?)

Megatron · 27/04/2010 13:38

I agree, they most definitely are needed. I can at least rest easy in my bed at night knowing that my jam spoon with the lion head is an essential tool in my house. If only I liked jam.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:41

oh, it would be a shame to descend into argument this late in the thread.

let's give each other a big hug

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:42

if you don't like jam, i'll ahve your lion-head jam spoon!!!!

me!me!me!

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:43

sfk

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:44

and again

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:45

this is what you need Megatron.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:46

have we had this yet?

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:48

this is just insane!

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:50

where is everyone?

do you remember that the last one to post wins the argument?

hello?
hello?
hello?

am i just arguing with myself?

mutter muttermuttermuttermutter

Megatron · 27/04/2010 13:51

I DO need that drawer, it's fantastic! I couldn't possibly part with my lion headed jam spoon nickelbabe, it has a pot and everything to go with it. Ah I remember the days when I used to get excited over a fantastic pair of heels. Now it's drawers and jam spoons.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:54

aww, bless!

i've always got excited over cutlery.
i'm very sad.

nickelbabe · 27/04/2010 13:55

okay, let's see how far we can go before it cuts us off....
