To find it a bit odd when people go through several prams in the space of a few months?

I sometimes read posts on here from 'pram addicts' who despite having only one or two childrem have had several different prams and pushchairs.

I just read a pushchair review on another site that said: 'So far since my 9 month old son's birth I've had a Micralite fastfold, 2 quinny zapps, a fisher price safe voyager, a loola and this quest sport.'

Does that sound like overkill to anyone else?

Sorry if I offend anyone and I'm sure I'll be told if that's the case but I just don't get why you would need to keep changing prams?

I've had 4 and dd is 18mo.

I had a silvercross 3D which I loved when pregnant, but didn't like so much when dd was 3+ months. So sold that on and bought another pushchair which I didn't like as it was too grown up for her at the time. Sold that on. Bought a Luna pushchair which I loved and had for months, but then moved to a first floor flat so I needed something uber lightweight to get up and down the stairs. So now have a Maclaren triumph and I love it. Dd will be in it until she doesn't want to be anymore.

I have to friend who spent £800.00 on a bugaboo, it makes my eyes water to think of it! Having said that, it's her money and if she's got it available that's up to her.

CatchaChristmasStar · 04/12/2008 13:31

PMSL! I've just noticed there's a bugaboo advert on the right hand side of this thread!

Santaslittlehelpersmum · 04/12/2008 15:02

Imightflounce Mamadiva wasnt calling you twisted she said you were twisting words. I think Pushchair was just a tad offended by the language you were using wether its ok or not to swear on MN some people are going to be offended! We should unit we are pushchair lovers together lol!

Loving the new xmas smilies

Ashantai · 04/12/2008 15:05

Well, see i love people that have multiple prams but i also love people who have only had one.

Hmm wonder which is better. Theres only one way to find out... FIGHT!!!

ScottishMummy · 04/12/2008 15:23

all i genuineley think when iread the i ave had 50+ prams is how do you afford it?

i have a travel pram that folds small and i carry on as hand luggage and my daily pram

babyjjbaby · 04/12/2008 15:30

yeh but i think if u like prams u spend ur money on prams rather than crap like shoes bags meals out fags wine and stuff like that i certinaly do anyway and most of us pram addicts only buy used anyway

babyjjbaby · 04/12/2008 15:32

oh and 9 times out of 10 i sell summit to fund new pram but saying that we shouldn't have to explain how or why we buy prams it has nothing to do with anyone else

Santaslittlehelpersmum · 04/12/2008 15:32

SM as most of us have said we always sell the one we have to fund the next I know which pushchairs not to buy I know what will make me money - My biggest earner was a Bugaboo Cam I bought in August for £277 from Mothercare then got bits for it over a month from ebay mostly stood me in £400 in the end I sold it for £760 so made £360 profit on it! last week I bought a bugaboo Frog for £125 sold it on ebay this week after using it a few times for £240 so £115 profit a few months back I bought a P&T which needed new covers bought that for £109 got new covers for £55 and a new handle for £18 sold it for £320 so £138 profit bought a bugaboo bee used for about 2 months bought it for £230 with cupholder & parasol bought a cosytoe for it for £55 and i sold that for £340 so only made £55 on that in total in the last few months I have made about £1000 profit on buying and selling pushchairs which as my crappy employer had failed to pay my maternity pay had bought my kids their clothes and most of my xmas presents! i now have a lovely Maclaren 4 seasons which I inten to keep then maybe get a three wheeler when the car boat season starts and the weather is better for the park - am looking at the new P&T which comes out in the new year ummmm

ScottishMummy · 04/12/2008 15:35

no odds to mer if someone wants to fanny about with prams.i just dont get it though
