To think Jools has the perfect life

Jools Oliver

Lots of kids, with partner since very young, lots of money, beautiful home.
I realise no one's life is perfect, but it seems ideal. Found love early, no rubbish men or heartbreak or loneliness of being alone and struggling. loads of kids and a loving, large family there as you get older, no money worries or having to work unless you want to, amazing countryside home

Am envious!

Weren’t there accusations in the past about him having dalliances?
Regardless, all you see is her TV life. No one’s life is perfect but her TV life lools
really pleasant.

ClearFruit · 15/10/2026 10:43

Not really, she's married to Jamie Oliver.

Poppingby · 15/10/2026 10:43

She's married to Jamie Oliver though. Seems like a megalomaniac to me. No room for her in that marriage. This is obviously based on the same thing you can see, which is public image and no knowledge of what their lives are actually like!!

Delatron · 15/10/2026 10:45

I’m not sure I’d want lots of kids! Plus he must work an insane amount so not around? Thus she can’t really work - does she? Obviously they could have a Nannie but I don’t think they did. So lots of drudgery at home

Beautiful house - yes.

Pootles34 · 15/10/2026 10:46

I suspect she is alone a lot of the time - he must work a hell of a lot. And being in the public eye can't be fun - I don't envy her that.

emuloc · 15/10/2026 10:46

If having lots of children is your thing, then yes she does seem to have a nice life, from the snapshots that are seen from Jamie's programmes. I have a reasonable amount of intelligence to understand that tv, and real life are two different things.

tartyflette · 15/10/2026 10:47

Honestly, I reckon she holds her own against Jamie. Yes, he’s the big cheese but they are very much a brand as a couple too. And she doesn’t come across as a shy retiring type! Best wishes to them.

Her health could go downhill at any minute nobody is immune.
Money, family etc does not make up for good health.

They can afford cleaners, gardeners etc. Why assume that there is the usual drudgery? She has written books, I believe, and work, comes in many different forms, imo.

Nope. In an interview it was mentioned how she was once concerned that he might be having an affair because he was always working so much and their marriage was in a rut, as many couples with kids and demanding jobs do from time to time. He wasn’t and they came out the other side.

ThePineappleSeahorse · 15/10/2026 10:52

Loads of kids would be my worst nightmare.

Needmorelego · 15/10/2026 10:54

She's apparently got long covid and suffers from anxiety and is recently diagnosed as autistic.
I don't know how correct any of that is but if true then she definitely doesn't have a "perfect" life.

Clonakilla · 15/10/2026 10:57

I don’t want that many kids.

I get a lot of satisfaction from financially supporting myself and my family and would not wish to handover that part of parenting to my husband.

I have meaningful work.

Presumably her life is great for her and that’s lovely - it would not be great for me.

Conniebygaslight · 15/10/2026 10:59

I honestly can't say that I ever analyse anyone else's life-celebrity or otherwise, it never occurs to me to do so.

LlamasDramas · 15/10/2026 11:00

Jamie Oliver is always so busy with lots of projects on the go so I suspect that Jools is home alone a lot. It must be lonely for her in that way - maybe that is one of the reasons why she has had so many children to keep her company.

Gettingbysomehow · 15/10/2026 11:02

All 5 of her children are autistic so I cant imagine that can be much fun.

SabrinaBricklayer · 15/10/2026 11:05

Who knows. I don’t know why, maybe I’ve read it somewhere, but I get the feeling he’s not that easy to live with, not quite the easy going happy chappie persona he has on tv. I could be wrong as I don’t live with him, but the busy, travelling the world lifestyle must have an impact on Jools. I’ve noticed both she and Tana Ramsey have lots of kids (by today’s standards), is it just a coincidence?

BugJuice · 15/10/2026 11:06

The sad thing about these threads is that everyone immediately jumps on them to say how shit her life is really, and how she’s probably miserable/being cheated on/lonely etc.
In reality, there is no such thing as the perfect life, because everyone is different and wants different things from their life. I wouldn’t want to live in the countryside, for example.
i hope she’s got her perfect life though, or as close to it as possible.

Bokk · 15/10/2026 11:08

Loads of kids and a famous husband? I'd rather be the star of my own life, thanks.

StormGazing · 15/10/2026 11:08

Jamie Oliver is very annoying though! … Gordon Ramsay however 🤔

stuffedanimalsandchocolate · 15/10/2026 11:08

Being some famous man's wife? I'm sure she has a pleasant life but I don't admire people for getting married to a rich man and having lots of kids and nice house

wishingonastar101 · 15/10/2026 11:09

She seems void of talent and personality.

But is she a ‘personality’. I don’t think of her as a celebrity.

Hahaha what I came to say!

Oh yes, a perfect/ideal life is definitely subjective. Perfect to me would be someone else’s nightmare and vice versa.
