I've name changed because if I am being paranoid I don't want abuse.

I recently bought an advent calendar for my child that wasn't obviously Christmas themed. I see lots of people using it to countdown Chanukah and I wanted to do the same. I thought the entire calendar was so cool that I reached out to thank the creators for such a wonderful product. Their email reply back was quite nice but then in their last paragraph they wrote:
Last week a Muslim mother wrote to tell me that her family would be using our calendar as a countdown for Ramadan :) and to me that confirms a really nice thing - that it can be used to count down to any celebration!

The company is Spanish and so I assume the owner is too. It's the smiley face. I have nothing against Muslims, but I wonder if the person wrote it to hint - see, they're just like you, don't harbour any bad feelings. Or even, trying to put me off their company?

Is it me, or just why would they even write that?

The smiley face only means they are happy people of all faiths are enjoying using their calendar. It wouldn’t have occurred to me that they were trying to imply anything hostile.

Just why would they mention Muslim out of all the faiths. I was just wondering if they're trying to be antagonising or that they might not like Jewish people (because of Spain's stance) and discourage me from using their brand.

What was the content of the email before the last paragraph?

There is someone who has voted that I'm not being unreasonable so my thought process is at least understandable to someone (who I assume is of a similar background to me and therefore appreciates where I'm coming from)

How many people of different religions do you think are being these advent calendars? Just like you, the Muslim mother contacted her to say she’d bought it for a non advent festival. She obviously thought it was nice that she’s successfully appealing to the three major world religions🤷‍♀️

Because they are saying people of all faiths are using it. They wouldn’t say Christian as that’s the obvious use case. And perhaps they’ve had no Hindus or Buddhists 🙄
