I've name changed because if I am being paranoid I don't want abuse.

I recently bought an advent calendar for my child that wasn't obviously Christmas themed. I see lots of people using it to countdown Chanukah and I wanted to do the same. I thought the entire calendar was so cool that I reached out to thank the creators for such a wonderful product. Their email reply back was quite nice but then in their last paragraph they wrote:
Last week a Muslim mother wrote to tell me that her family would be using our calendar as a countdown for Ramadan :) and to me that confirms a really nice thing - that it can be used to count down to any celebration!

The company is Spanish and so I assume the owner is too. It's the smiley face. I have nothing against Muslims, but I wonder if the person wrote it to hint - see, they're just like you, don't harbour any bad feelings. Or even, trying to put me off their company?

OP…honestly, you are really, massively overreacting here!

Because you said you were using it for Chanukkah and it’s technically intended for use for cultural Christians counting down to a Christian feast, and they were referencing the other Abrahamic faith? It’s not that complicated.

Why would they want to ‘discourage’ a satisfied customer?

Do you suffer from paranoia in other contexts? You’d have died in a panic about some of the stuff I routinely dealt with as an immigrant.

I think you're probably being paranoid - assuming you mentioned using it for Chanukah, they were just mentioning that other faiths were also using it for non-Advent purposes.

You said their reply was 'quite nice ' before they commented on the muslim mother buying their product. That context helps distinguish a spontaneous anecdote from a more deliberate statement with the aim to put you off using their brand.

I think it's completely understandable that, given the current climate, Jewish people are feeling generally on edge. I'm so sorry you're feeling that way OP, it must be really stressful.
My reading of the message is that the suppliers are genuinely pleased that, in a fractured world, they've managed to create something that can play a part in important celebrations, no matter the faith.

I would read that as them being self-congratulatory about the success of their business rather than as an antisemitic micro aggression. I don’t think the latter is impossible. I just think it’s unlikely.

Absolutely. All those Muslims who aren’t bustling about banning Christmas trees and making everyone refer to ‘Winterval’ are busy influencing Spanish advent calendar manufacturers.
