How long do you take to get up and out to work in the morning?

I set my alarm at 6.40am to leave at 7.40. The time it takes me to actually get ready, ie shower, make up, breakfast, dressed etc is about 35 mins but as I work in a school and so can't use the loo unless it's at break or lunchtime, I like to have the extra time in case I need a poo after breakfast! Kids have left home so don't have anyone else to worry about.

Just musing if that's quick, slow or about average.

Alarm set for 6.30
Gym 7-8 strength training
8 - 8.45 shower, coffee, get dressed etc

I shower/bath in the evenings so, for a morning:
up at 5:15, snooze alarm, out of bed 5:30. Make coffee (cup for the travel mug and a cup for before I leave the house), throw my packed lunch in lunch box, throw uniform in bag. Leave at 6:15. Work starts at 7am but I like to be there way before.

I’m a nurse. We are meant to have breaks, but this doesn’t always happen.

I do need to get some structure in with regards to exercising. I’d like to do it in the morning but can’t face getting up earlier.

20 minutes - wfh 4 days - 1 day in office an hour to get ready and an hour to get into work

BeanNaGealai · Yesterday 23:57

15 minutes. I’m up at 7, showered (don’t wash hair in the morning if I’m going in to the office), dressed and on the road by 7.15. In the office at 7:50-8:00. Put on makeup, eat breakfast etc in the office.

Traffic is a nightmare if I leave any later than that.

1.45am wow! What time do you go to bed?

It depends, I can never sleep anyway and my body clock is out of whack......hence why I'm awake now and i'm in the middle of my days off.
9pm is the absolute latest but I try to be in bed between 6pm and 7pm.

The actual shower, dress, hair, make lunch and leave bit only takes 40 minutes. 30 if I rush. But I faff about so I get up 2 hours earlier.

My morning schedule is dictated by the DC, and as they leave for 6th form / school at different times, it takes ages.

If no DC I can do it in an hour if my hair needs a wash or 40 mins or less if not.
