Personally I really disliked Nigella as a judge - I for one certainly wouldn't enjoy a cake full of salt! It all seemed a bit try hard

Would have loved to have seen Nadia (previous winner) as a judge or Delia Smith

Contestant wise - seem like a bunch of people have been added just for tv rather than baking skills

Danni was a bit 'woo ' Not sure she's neurodiverse. She's a vegan that forages- she expected a reaction for keep mentioning her ingredient 'Sticky willy' and didnt get one. dont think she'll last long anyway

One reason to regret Shannon's illness - Danni would almost definitely have been gone mad they all stayed in the tent.

I felt sorry for Molly, it doesn’t seem like they have adapted the kitchen well enough to accommodate her disability.

I thought the same, when I saw her whisking with the bowl on her lap.

Yes she was attention seeking I felt with her sticky willy thing, Nigella's face though - she didnt look amused at all! You could see her thinking "oh wtf!"

And shes not up to GBBO standard with her baking.

How do they selected it? These aren’t the 12 best bakers in Britain. They Thry should be.

I did wonder about adaptations for Molly, and would have thought she would have been consulted. To be fair, it seems that she would usually use 2 gloves and was aware that she'd made an error. In a later shot, on the showstopper, I did notice an extra pair of hands just in camera when she was getting her cakes out, so it looks like they have realised there is an issue.

Danni did grate with their overenthusiasm and wanting to be edgy. It just seemed very over the top, but it could be the editing. And I say this as a parent of an ND vegan adult with a partner who has ADHD.

I was fine with the rest of the contestants, although I would have liked to see the white 30-50 female demographic represented.

I thought Nigella wasn't as good as in her solo shows. But I think she'll grow into the judging role.

Molly doesn't have a dropped height accessible counter to work on, which is completely unfair. Her voice is very squeaky, I agree, but I was very impressed that she just got on with it after dropping her cake.

I liked smallholder man with his chickens and goats, and Yorkshire gay hairdresser. I did like Yannis until he referred to himself in the third person.

Honestly, if you are terrified of spoilers why would you eagerly read everything you can about something that’s just been released? Spend the time actually watching it so you can relax.

I didn't notice Mollys voice but did think the set up hadn't been adapted well for her and the cake being dropped from the over was partly that - as even with one gloved hand many would have moved faster to catch it.

As soon as one was taken ill we all said well they'll get rid of two next week then and not this to be fair.

Completely agree re. the C4 casting. It's the same thing that happened to Big Brother, Wife Swap etc - started off as an interesting social experiment with "normal" people, then went off the rails with the wackiest, most controversial, opposite sorts of people they could find.

Me too. I thought she was looking down her nose at everyone. She literally screwed her face up when Shannon opened her mouth to speak. She also sounds like she’s had a stroke, has she? Her voice is so slurred and slow.
