To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

CoventryCity · Yesterday 10:14

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

Given you have cut and pasted this all over several threads on MN, yes I have read it. It still doesn't make me hate all immigrants and see them as sub-human. Just like it doesn't make me hate all men and see them as sub-human.

Why on earth would it make you do that? You seem prone to hyperbole.

Also - the first time I posted that source was earlier - on this thread. Will you apologise for your error?

Why does the supposedly patriotic right whinge hate this country so much? All they ever do is moan and talk down about it, while hero worshipping tax dodgers, economic migrants and convicted criminals.

Imagine how much better our country would be of their time volunteering in their communites or getting involved in community groups instead of painting roundabouts, raising flags and abusing women and children.

Tax dogers? Who are they? The biggest bit of the tax gap are from SMEs and self employed people..the "rich" and the wealthiest pay a lot of tax in the UK. Try biting the hand that feeds you and see what happens.

Can I just point out that, as predicted early in the first thread, this has indeed turned into a load of hate aimed at asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants in general?

There are facts, for sure. Maybe you see hate because you project?

More scattergun anti-immigrant nonsense, with the same lies you introduced in your previous threads.

Net immigration is going down. The annual number of asylum seekers is going down. Do you acknowledge this? If not, there is literally no point in engaging with you.

It's those who are protesting against asylum seekers who are by far the biggest danger to women and children. More than 40% of them have convictions for domestic violence. The problem is half-witted racist nonces, not asylum seekers.

Do you support or excuse their activities?

Why on earth are you comparing income takes to the cost of benefits? The benefits bill (which is mainly pensions) is the same percentage of GDP as it was in 1999. If you want more money, look at the £59bn in tax avoidance.

Pat McFadden was COMPLAINING about his paraphrase of what some Labour backbenchers said, not supporting it.

That supposed "research" you point at from 2017 is badly evidenced and unreliable - there is no evidence in 2026 that immigrants and asylum seekers are more likely to commit VAWG, and plenty of evidence that Reform politicians and their supporters disproportionately do.

Why do so many of MNers ignore the disproportionate attacks these men seeking asylum do? The fact that we actually could have avoided this by not having them in the country.

Why do they ignore all the per capita data from the nordic nations?

There is no evidence at all that asylum seekers are more likely to attack women in the UK than any other person of a similar demographic, but you can be 100% every attack will be reported in the media.

The figures we do have show that, overall, foreign nationals in England and Wales are imprisoned or convicted at roughly the same rate as British nationals.

It's those who are rioting against asylum seekers who disproportionately attack women. Do you oppose them?

I think there is a much bigger issue here than the welfare burden being larger than the tax burden. The real question is - why are so many people out of work, or having to rely on welfare in the first place?

We are quietly seeing huge numbers of redundancies across the country. The NHS alone is losing around 50,000 jobs, councils are facing major cuts, and private-sector employers are making redundancies too. That leaves a growing pool of people who were previously working and paying tax, but are now unemployed and trying to find work in an market where there are fewer and fewer vacancies.

It is also incredibly difficult to find suitable employment if you have a disability, childcare commitments or caring responsibilities. And where jobs are available, they are often lower-paid and less secure.

Even for those who can find work, wages are struggling to keep pace with the basic cost of living. Minimum wage does not stretch far when housing, food, fuel and childcare have all become so expensive. Even people earning what would once have been considered a healthy salary are feeling the squeeze from higher mortgage costs, energy bills, groceries and frankly extortionate childcare.

And don't even get me started on AI and what widespread automation could do to employment over the next few years if we don't seriously think about how we're going to manage that transition.

These are the issues that keep me up at night. Not simply how much we're spending on welfare, but why more and more people are ending up needing it and what happens if we continue to treat the symptoms without properly addressing the causes.

In the year ending June 2023 - the UK population grew by nearly one million. All of which was net migration. That was under the Labour gvt.

The uk population has grown by more than 10million in the last 20 years. 68% of the increase in the UK population between 2005 and 2024 was due to the direct contribution of net migration.

Since 2020, almost all of the growth - that's approx 2 million - in the population has come from net migration.

No wonder we're in the shit. For example we need more NHS staff, more housing, more school places, more doctors appointments, because of the net migration of millions of people, and the impact of this. Anyone complaining about this is right to do so, it's a mess of our own Gvts (and other European gvts) making.

But woe betide anyone who does complain - and who does point out the frighteningly obvious..

One has to ask - what are people's motivations for continuing the charade, and incoherently claiming anyone (for example their own parents) who questions it as being Racist! Bigoted! ?

Either they're dim - quite likely given approx 50% of the UK population has an IQ below 100, or they're benefiting from left wing policies with a reliance on the state for their benefits / housing.

The thing is with the Tories their first instinct isn't to raise taxes. When it has to be done it's a last resort. They don't want to do it. It's in Labour's DNA to tax those that work hard and then give it to shirkers.

Except that the Tories between 2010 and 2024 DID raise taxes but often stealthily so that lots of people didn't notice. They did a lot of harm with their changes to IR35 - including causing staffing problems within the NHS and huge numbers of "mobile" technical workers leaving the UK to live/work abroad, but for the same UK firms they worked at before leaving, so a huge net loss of tax revenue! Lots of little changes that they knew wouldn't get big media headlines because they were complicated and they new the media wouldn't understand and the numbers affected were too small to cause any real fuss.

The Ignored Link Between Mass Migration and Europe’s Rape Epidemic

Statistical data show that the growth in sexual assaults against women coincides with more immigration, a reality that only the European Right is ready to confront.

The increase in sexual violence in the European Union in recent years has generated an intense debate about the role of mass immigration in such crimes. While some political and media actors have tried to minimize the correlation, official data and multiple reports reveal a different reality. The impact of mass immigration, mostly from regions with value systems and cultural norms that radically differ from the European ones, has challenged security and social cohesion in many cities on the continent.

According to the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.ph/o/DWxeB/ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-statistical-reports/w/ks-01-24-013" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">approximately one in ten women in the EU have experienced some form of sexual violence since the age of fifteen. However, the steady rise in these crimes in recent years cannot be attributed exclusively to increased awareness and reporting.

In Spain, reports of sexual violence have increased in parallel with the increase in immigration. In 2021, 15,845 complaints were registered for sexual offenses, 8% more than the previous year. According to reports from the Ministry of Interior, some 15% of the perpetrators were foreigners, with Morocco and Romania among the most represented nationalities, with 25% and 15% respectively. Despite the rhetoric of the Ministry of Equality in Spain and billions of euros invested in “gender equality,” 2024 ended with a record 5,258 assaults and rapes and 47 women murdered.

Italy has also experienced an increase in sexual crimes committed by foreigners. According to data of the Italian statistical office Istat, in 2020, 4,886 cases of rape were recorded, 5% more than in 2019. 30% of the perpetrators were immigrants, with assailants from Romania, Morocco, and Nigeria standing out. The situation in France is no different, with 25% of perpetrators of foreign origin, with Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia predominating, according to the figures of the French Ministry of the Interior. In 2022, 34,000 rape complaints were registered, an increase of 15% compared to 2021.

Belgium and Germany are two other countries particularly affected by this phenomenon. In 2021, Belgium recorded 5,000 reports of sexual violence, with 20% of perpetrators of foreign origin. Germany, one of the countries hardest hit by the 2015 migration crisis, reported 11,500 rape cases in 2022, with an alarming 40% of perpetrators of Syrian, Afghan or Iraqi origin.
In the UK, the crisis of sexual assault by migrant gangs has been particularly shocking. The Rotherham scandal, where at least 1,400 girls were abused by organized groups of Pakistani, Kurdish, and Kosovar origin between 1997 and 2013, exposed the inaction of the authorities for fear of being accused of racism. In 2022, 70,000 rape complaints were recorded (191 complaints per day), 25% more than in 2021.

In 2022, Sweden, Iceland and France were the three countries with the highest number of rape cases per 100,000 inhabitants, Sweden with 200.34, Iceland with 165.32, and France with 126.08. The safest countries were Greece, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Albania, and Hungary, with about six cases or less.

Find more statistics at Statista

These data show a reality that cannot be hidden and must be confronted with a non-ideological approach. Growing public concern about the rise in sexual crimes has strengthened support for right-wing parties, which have seen a marked increase in the polls.

Parties such as the Alternative for Germany (AfD), the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), and VOX in Spain have faced the reality head-on, including by promoting the idea of ‘remigration’—the return of failed asylum seekers and non-assimilated migrants to their countries of origin as a measure to reduce crime and preserve social cohesion.

In countries such as France and Belgium, where immigration has reached historic levels, security concerns have become a central issue in election campaigns. Even Emmanuel Macron has called for toughening France’s immigration policy, if only as a political tactic to halt a slide in the polls against Marine Le Pen’s skyrocketing Rassemblement National.
The question is how long mainstream parties will be able to uphold their firewalls and cordon sanitaires against the political forces willing to tackle the actual reality voters live in.

In her book, Hirsi Ali emphasizes on multiple occasions that only some immigrant men commit such crimes, but she draws attention to the fact that due to cultural differences and the lack of integration there is a correlation between the increase in sexual violence in Europe and the influx of immigrants.

The Influx of Immigrants into Europe and the Increase in Sexual Violence

In Muslim-majority countries the attitude is still that women can be blamed for being sexually assaulted

The Influx of Immigrants into Europe and the Increase in Sexual Violence

Hirsi Ali establishes a link between immigration and increasing sexual violence against women, and traces back the root of the problem to the cultural differences between Christian Europe and Muslim-majority countries.

Where will we detain them? There's not enough room in prisons for convicted criminals, never mind men who some posters on MN suspect might be criminals. And any other suggestion seems to upset someone or other. And if we don't feed them, then they will starve, won't they? Which will cause some practical issues, even if you overlook the ethical ones. @Mouldemort
thankyou for articulating what I couldn’t.

As an FYI, the vast majority of UC claimants are working adults. This is a reflection of the dire wages that are paid by companies, knowing they can get away with it. Also, the zero hours contracts that cause financial uncertainty and force some people to give up due to the unreliability of claiming UC on these.

if your hours of work and pay aren’t consistent what are you supposed to do? According to MN there are plenty of jobs out there. The fact is that there aren’t.
