To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

CoventryCity · Yesterday 10:14

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

If the data is to the contrary then that proves the "haters" wrong.

Per capita is a thing. If domestic intimate partner violence is a thing, let's tackle that issue and not bring in men who have a risk of doing stranger attacks on women.

Are the government 'bringing them in'? Goodness. I thought they were coming in of their own accord, on small boats, with successive governments trying to prevent them, and this government having far more success with that than the last.

Because we HAD to pay for lockdown somehow what do you expect? Labour hated the unlockings and wanted more delays

Oh that’s a whole load of bollocks I haven’t heard for a while! Just to remind you, Labour wanted tougher and sooner lockdowns so they would be shorter, not longer lockdowns because somehow they liked them. What twaddle.
Also, yes, lockdowns needed paying for. And now there are issues with Trump and oil, Russia and Ukraine that cost, but those are all Labour’s fault apparently when the poor Tories got landed with things they couldn’t control (though shorter, tougher lockdowns would have been much cheaper, as would not doing Eat out to Help (the virus) Out).

Seems quite sensible to not release figures that would be used to divide society & fuel hate, especially as a result of demands by racists & far right.

Extremists on all sides can manipulate data to fit their narrative.

Virtually all rapes & serious sexual assaults are committed by men. Men are the risk. The overwhelming majority are also British.

The biggest risk to women both in terms of homicide, serious assault & rape are partners/ex partners.

Stop hijacking women's safety to fuel your agenda

Edited

There are so many holes and inaccuracies / blatant wrongs in your post, it's more a poor reflection of you than of me.

I've argued with DH a lot and we had a bad period many decades ago. I never ever feared he would hurt me.

That’s great and as it should be. Doesn’t alter the fact that women are most at risk from partners/ex partners/men they know.
I’ve never felt at risk from a refugee/asylum seeker/person of a different race either as it happens. Which doesn’t mean none of them commit violent offences - but does sort of give the lie to ‘they’re all murderers and rapists’ which seems to be the view of some on here.

Yes but all govs have been housing them and feeding them and letting them rome free in the general population. We should detain and deport like the USA does.

1 in 5 working age adults are claiming UC. Benefits are why immigrants flood in. Scrap UC, and they won't come because they couldn't afford to live here.

Yes. Even the French PM told our PM that. Anyone might think that they don't Want to stop mass immigration.

If there's IPV that's a separate issue..let's not make stranger attacks worse. I've not seen or had to be around a male asylum seeker from a 3rd world nation, but I definitely don't want to. These men don't exactly come from the best nations.

God this is such a terrible argument. But what about our Brians, they're just as bad! Do me a favour, it's embarrassing for you.

Where will we detain them? There's not enough room in prisons for convicted criminals, never mind men who some posters on MN suspect might be criminals. And any other suggestion seems to upset someone or other. And if we don't feed them, then they will starve, won't they? Which will cause some practical issues, even if you overlook the ethical ones. I imagine even the US offers food?

kalokagathos · Yesterday 13:54

The benfits need reducing that’s all but whoever’s benefit is reduced will vote for the opposite party. That’s the simple maths for any party to contemplate. Reform will try to balance the bill by targeting immigrants. They will soon find it’s not enough and standards of services and living are not improving and will be voted out. And that will be the seesaw. You’ll only fix the problem if you are prepared to experience pain. Not 1 or 2 years, that’s peanuts, 5 years minimum uninterrupted. They do not have that problem in China or other authoritarian countries as they can just implement without worrying about fickle voter feelings. So it’s not solveable not because of lack of solutions but because of lack of time for them to take effect. The voter is fickle and impatient and makes the politician a short-termist.

Has anyone read this data? I'm being charitable. The answer must be no.

From Germany - since Labour is blocking UK data.
'Violence against women is experienced by all ages and social classes, all races, religions and nationalities. It is estimated that at least one in three women were subjected to some type of inter-personal violence over their life time (UN Security Council Resolution 1820). The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights found that in EU one in 10 women experienced some form of sexual violence since the age of 15 and, one in 20 has been raped. This article seeks to find out the role of media on portraying the reports of violence against women in Germany which are carried out by men with immigrant background.'

'The primary interpretation can be made in such a way that there is an alarming increase in violence against women by certain group of men with immigrant background in Germany despite of the fact that German mass media tries to obscure such reports while the international newspaper do not try to hide. The lack of successful integration of refugees can be identified as a big barrier to prevent such incidences and minimal punishment for crimes against women should be evaluated and modified by respective governance bodies for preventing such incidences.

Because there's sadly cases of IPV we should increase or not care about the risk from stranger attacks from men from the 3rd world where women are treated like crap

Of course we can't see the equivalent UK data, as Labour are blocking its' release.

I have been round many. Only received politeness and respect. Stranger attacks haven’t worsened as more asylum seekers have been stuck here in limbo because of the Tories’ incompetence. Crime rates have dropped as immigration has increased.

The USA has immigration detention centres. We can do some as well. If there's a genuine will we can do the same.

Given you have cut and pasted this all over several threads on MN, yes I have read it. It still doesn't make me hate all immigrants and see them as sub-human. Just like it doesn't make me hate all men and see them as sub-human.

Yeah they might not like the regime. They don't necessarily have the best attitudes to women though. No need to have them there. Asylum seekers have commited stranger attacks. Such horrible and horrific cases in the UK. Had they not been here, things would have been better.

They are humans, but not citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as a result they aren't the priority. The UK and its taxpayers are not a charity for the whole world.

Shakeoffyourchains · Yesterday 14:11

Why does the supposedly patriotic right whinge hate this country so much? All they ever do is moan and talk down about it, while hero worshipping tax dodgers, economic migrants and convicted criminals.

Imagine how much better our country would be of their time volunteering in their communites or getting involved in community groups instead of painting roundabouts, raising flags and abusing women and children.

Yes, interesting how OP upgraded asylum seekers to the top of her agenda in Part Deux.
