I'm increasingly of the opinion that every post Bevan UK government has been at best totally incompetent and at worst genuinely treasonous. And they've just got increasingly worse as we have a succession of MPs who've never been in the real word and operate in a rarified echo chamber of meaningless babble.

The uk (and Western Europe generally) are failing powers.
It’s been 20 years in the making, I’m not sure how you’ve decided it’s the current government’s fault.
It’s globalisation, lack of innovation, and ultimately a tiny country who probably did need to lose a bit of its power on the world stage.

Starmer tried to cut benefits and his mps rebelled. Welfare will have to be cut sooner or later, but this govt don't have the guts to do it, so it needs to wait either for a general election or an IMF intervention.

Rachel Reeves was completely incompetent, and has cost us a lot of jobs - including mine. We wait to see if Burnham/Healey will be any better.

Having said that, Boris & Liz Truss were both barking mad, and by the time Rishi Sunak became PM, the damage was already done. None of them, Labour ot Tory deserve to be popular.

I fear Reform will win the next GE, welfare spending will be cut significantly and the following few years will be pretty uncomfortable for a kot of people.
