AIBU to feel used in a friends with benefits arrangement?

I just wanted someone to shed some light on FWB situations. So, I’ve met this guy 3 times now just for sex, nothing more. But literally we just meet for sex, there’s texting up until and around the actual meet mainly just trying to find when we’re both free, who’s hosting etc. then we meet for sex then nothing. No text after, no casual conversation in between nothing at all. Then in about 2/3 weeks I’ll get a “when are you next free” text
I have to clarify I’ve never done this before I’ve always had relationships which is obviously completely different and I aware that I shouldn’t expect much more than casual sex which is fine. But, literally just sex and no actual chatting or hanging out in between is making me feel a little used. I’m unsure how to feel do I just accept this for what it is, what’s everyone’s experiences on similar situations? Am I just expecting too much for something that’s supposed to be casual?

Stop picking fights with women. You're a man, and you're being sassy.

I was enjoying some of your perspectives, but now you're just being petulant and grating.

Edited

To be expected from a lot of men who have actual female friends as opposed to women in their life they're fond of.

What usually happens is that the man wants to have sex with the woman but she does not want to.
She then says let's just be friends hoping he'll fuck off but he persists.

At first she's incredulous that he didn't get the hidden message, but sees it can have advantages.
He goes along with it with the hope that demonstrating how kind, nice, etc he is she'll suddenly want to shag him.

He takes her out for meals does her favours etc.
She gets to like this.

But she never has sex with him. After a while this may start to piss him off. Then the nice guy act ends.

Well this is the flip side of the coin: a woman having sex with a man hoping he'll have a relationship.

Disclaimer: obviously there are men AND women who purely want casual sex.
In fact, if I were in OP's shoes I'd probably enjoy fantasising about a man who's along the mysterious stranger lines.

The fact she isn't suggests she wanted a relationship.

What takes place in the middle aisle of Aldi? I've never visited one.

Classic item in the middle aisle
worth a look!

I'm making the point that you seem to be making up a lot of scenarios to suit your version of what you think happened and making digs at the OP as well.

What are all these many scenarios I’m making up?

none

About why she blocked him. Sex bell etc

She blocked him because she doesnt want to respond to his one message every few weeks ringing the sex bell ie “wanna shag”

geddit?

Is it up to you to tell people why they blocked someone else. Her reasons are her reasons. You said this thread bored you. But you're still here making digs at the Op

Have I hit a nerve for you or something?

There's nothing inaccurate about what I said. At all.

Men take advantage of women and vice versa.

Nothing at all to do with the manosphere.

I knew this 20 years ago before the so-called manosphere was invented.

You seem to need women to validate you. Is that why you're posting on this thread?
With your talk of 'we'.

For a mostly female audience to say 'oh great wise guy' thanks so much for offering your perspective.'

I realise that mumsnet is a great resource on specific subjects for both sexes, why men feel the need to comment on threads like this, though, where it's really about women seeking advice from other women. I don't know.

Are you here to put us little women right?

I am not allowing a man like you to bully me.

What is your beef with 'fuckboys' anyway?

That they don't get put in the friend zone?

OP could have posted on Dadsnet, but she didn't.

What do you think?

🙄

Newbutoldfather · 14/09/2026 11:04

@BlueFahrenheit ,

And she could have posted on Adultworks if she wanted advice on monetising her ‘cookie’.

But she didn’t.

Well, we’ll see what she actually thinks. As I said, if she doesn’t want my input, happy to bow out and apologise.

Maybe she is, however, in my opinion she'd be better off hearing from men like the one she has been having sex with than you who it seems to me to be totally naive about women.

Men who have been actual 'fuckboys' who can offer her actual wisdom on how they operate.

What's your beef with 'fuckboys', anyway?

I have no problem with them. Nor do the women who willingly have sex with them.

You seem bitter about them

The OP had a problem with the so called "fuck boy" she was sleeping with. Which was the entire point of this thread

Aw, aren't you trifling?

Someone is throwing their toys out of their pushchair again.

A 'grown' man trying to pick fights with women.

Newbutoldfather · 14/09/2026 11:18

@TotaleclipseinFrance ,

Do you know that the term ‘fuckboy’ isn’t a compliment! It is normally used by women to condemn them.

NOUN
Slang: Vulgar, Disparaging and Offensive.

  1. a contemptible but often seductive man who is immature, entitled, and untrustworthy, treats women in a self-serving and disrespectful way, and avoids commitment in relationships.

Disparaging! Enough said.

Yet women willingly and enthusiastically have sex with them. Else, the fuck component would not exist.

They don't dislike fuckboys at all.
They just dislike the fact that they won't commit and why on earth would they want them to commit if they're that awful, anyway?

I mean just think about that for a second.

Sorry, your knowledge about women is very poor.

AdeptLilacHare · 14/09/2026 11:38

A man point of view is very welcome. As of course this is all to do with a male and my trying to understand his actions

Thank you. I appreciate you coming back on this and I hope my posts have been useful and given you perspective.

And, apologies for my spat with the two posters who seem to have an agenda and to not actually accept that you wanted exactly what you said you wanted.
