AIBU to list retailers that routinely use Evri for deliveries so we can avoid them?

I am utterly sick of how Evri deliveries are so incredibly bad. I have had parcels go missing, non deliveries, poor communication etc. It is with almost everything that they seem to try and deliver. I don't live anywhere remote or hard to access. I have decided to not shop online with retailers that routinely use Evri to deliver.

AIBU to suggest that we use this thread to list stores that use Evri to deliver online orders so Mumsnetters can decide whether to shop there or not.

I'll start
Reiss
John Lewis
Sweaty Betty (who also use Evri to do their in-store collections in Waitrose shops so even that option is flawed).

I’ve never had any issues with Evri.

Although I prefer anything that can be posted to a locker like InPost just for ease.

Askandyforcompo · 07/09/2026 20:08

Evri are amazing where I live. It's the same bloke every time. He's on our local Facebook page and he tells us if he's off for some reason.

DPD however are horrendous, they've caused me so much stress this week.

camperjam · 07/09/2026 20:09

Evri lost 4 of my Adidas parcels

Disney store

Yes 👍
I had an incident last Christmas where they sent come disney Christmas gifts in an order to a pick up point 30 miles away and I drove to go and get them as I’d got them on a Black Friday deal and I really needed them but it was a massive inconvenience.

WildlyInappropriate · 07/09/2026 20:10

Our Evri lady is fabulous - she’s even been known to come back later in the day if there’s no reply when she first comes to the door, rather than leave the parcel somewhere she’s not happy with.

In fact all the couriers I’ve dealt with in recent years have been good. Maybe we’re lucky where we are.

Girlwithavibe · 07/09/2026 20:11

I think.iy depends who u get
We have a decent chap ATM he's really good !
But Inpost/yodel bloody crap I have had to use this 3 X and 3 X I have no parcels I think it's my local Yodel guy tbh !

unsync · 07/09/2026 20:13

Our local Evri guy is great - Amazon, on the other hand, is an absolute shower of shit. I don't even use them on principle, but some organisations use them as their fulfillment partner.

Mokel · 07/09/2026 20:14

The only time I had issues with Evri was when I redirected a parcel from delivered to a locker as it was scheduled to be delivered early than planned.

It never got delivered to the locker. Probably fell onto the floor in the depot.

About three years ago I was walking down my street and saw some cardboard on the pavement. I picked it up and it had an address label on it. It was for an address 2 miles away. Fell out of the van on delivering a package to someone down my street. It was Evri. I was going that way anyway. Put a note on the parcel explaining how I hand delivered it and where it was. Turned out to be a presentation cheque for a charity event.
Got thanks

My evri guy is brilliant. I specially choose them if there is a choice.

noworklifebalance · 07/09/2026 20:15

I haven’t had any issues with Evri

fridaynightzzz · 07/09/2026 20:15

My guy is also great, as was the one before him.

jhonni · 07/09/2026 20:17

Honestly it depends where you live. Mine was amazing. Same guy for years. Moved house and theyre bloody awful.

CherryKerry · 07/09/2026 20:18

Evri are horrendous in our area, I'll add

Fatface
Debenhams
M&S

Portmore · 07/09/2026 20:19

Our Evri drivers are fantastic. Same 2 regular guys. Always really helpful & follow instructions for safe place etc.

Recently had several problems with Royal mail though.

I try to use click & collect or lockers where possible.

John lewis you can collect in Waitrose for most things & staff are really helpful if there's a problem. They use different couriers for different areas & products.

AgnesX · 07/09/2026 20:19

My Evri guy is great. It's the Royal Mail who are incurring my wrath. Four days to deliver a card first class which is nearly £2. The postman has been every day so god knows where it is.

How difficult can it be to deliver something so lightweight within a week.

roseymoira · 07/09/2026 20:21

Why Is everyone posting ‘evri are alright in my area’ what’s the point of that? For the people who it isn’t great for, it’s handy to have a list

runningonberocca · 07/09/2026 20:23

Evri also terrible where I live. I’m going to add Whistles to the list, and Office and Boden

Fern26 · 07/09/2026 20:26

Strangely enough my local fb pages is full of people complaining about Evri. They haven’t been collecting parcels from many local shops and staff of the shops are asking people to come back and collect their parcels as they have been sitting there for weeks.

SpiralSister · 07/09/2026 20:32

They are absolutely terrible. The courier of choice for retailers who don’t care about their customers.

It’s quite an achievement to have one sole purpose for your business - delivering parcels - and be unable to do it.

The many posts on here who have no problem, when the rest of us would avoid them like the plague, only proves how inconsistent and dire they are.

loveawineloveacrisp · 07/09/2026 20:36

I think these replies just go to prove that some delivery drivers are shit, and some are good. Who they work for is completely incidental.

People are pointing out it's a localised thing, not Evri everywhere.

If I stopped using all companies who use Evri I'd never get any deliveries and being practically housebound that would be horrendous.

What the online retailers need to do is work out where any carrier is below standard in any particular area, and use a more reliable one for that area. It shouldn't be difficult to work out from their complaints and refunds.

Lilypad34 · 07/09/2026 20:39

Instead of cluttering up a thread with ‘my Evri driver is brilliant’ why not just do as the op suggested so those that have crap Evri deliveries don’t have to scroll through endless posts about how good yours is. If some are great that’s excellent no need to post. If it’s rubbish add to the ops list.

Lomonald · 07/09/2026 20:40

I have never had an issue with Evri the guy who delivers here is great, and i occasionally click and collect to Evri Drop offs, again no issues.

OP has asked if she’s being unreasonable in doing this, so those of us saying yes are explaining why.

Evri is great here also. Same man for the past few years, always on time, with a smile and a treat for the dog.

AhBiscuits · 07/09/2026 20:42

I like Evri 💁
