AIBU to list retailers that routinely use Evri for deliveries so we can avoid them?

I am utterly sick of how Evri deliveries are so incredibly bad. I have had parcels go missing, non deliveries, poor communication etc. It is with almost everything that they seem to try and deliver. I don't live anywhere remote or hard to access. I have decided to not shop online with retailers that routinely use Evri to deliver.

AIBU to suggest that we use this thread to list stores that use Evri to deliver online orders so Mumsnetters can decide whether to shop there or not.

I'll start
Reiss
John Lewis
Sweaty Betty (who also use Evri to do their in-store collections in Waitrose shops so even that option is flawed).

I get several Evri deliveries a week. I’ve never once had a problem with them.

Poor customer service seems to be the norm. I ordered a spare tyre. Had a message to say they had not been able to deliver- delivery was not even attempted! When it was finally delivered the driver said the bloke who had the parcel previously was lazy and probably couldn't be arsed to walk with it!!!

My evri man is usually very efficient. He's on holiday so I got a picture yesterday of a random street with a note saying can't find you. I've communicated with a bot but god knows where my pet food is.
DPD never manage to complete a delivery to me.

Joyunlimited · 27/09/2026 09:39

I assume there is a problem with your local depot or delivery person.

I have never ever had a problem with any of my (frequent) Evri deliveries. They are always prompt and the delivery man is always polite and good-humoured. I always give him 5 stars when asked for a review.

Suppose it just depends on the ''knowledge'' and character of the individual deliverer - but my retailer guarantees I can return items for refund - so have emailed them and good luck with that - otherwise the things will go to charity! Have to look on bright side! Some people are house bound so really rely on Evri etc!

Evri delivers for Amazon. My parents ordered a duvet said Amazon but the tracking number was Evri

I've never ever had a problem with Evri. And our local Evri driver is fantastic.

DPD on the other hand...

I think it should be the law that before you place and pay for any order where it is delivered to your house, you are told who the parcel carrier is, and have to tick a box in acknowledgment.

I bet many companies would offer a choice of carrier as a result.

I think this is a good idea. However, the Evri couriers in my road (area) are first class.

tara66 · 28/09/2026 09:26

Latest for me having parcel collected to return by EVRI is email today saying parcel has been lost so cannot be delivered!! NO - I have it HERE waiting for it to be collected!! Thats after sending many details to their bot re. trying to have it collected!!

tara66 · 28/09/2026 09:28

Just to add - I do get their deliveries but collecting for returns is completely another matter!

cartagenagina · 28/09/2026 09:29

I’ve never had a problem with them either.

I had a different issue with my Evri delivery woman. She was great, reliable for deliveries, and while not quite a friend we talked a lot, I had helped her with finding a house and the paperwork, as had another family member she also delivered to. I'd bump into her while out walking, always stopped for a chat. My dog loved her as she always carried treats to make friends with dogs on her route. I had her on my fb too.

I moved house, not far just a different street, still on this woman's route. I put something on fb about the garden in my new house. The previous occupiers had ruined the garden IMO, it used to be a gorgeous little patch of nature (when I first decided I liked the house) and they'd paved it, uprooted trees and shrubs, knocked down a little monument etc etc. I put something like this on my fb, asking for advice on how to transform the garden back to something like it was previously.

Evri lady told previous tenants, resulting in me getting a barrage of abuse, and my family member too! She is the only person it could have been, I have absolutely no other connections to these people apart from her, and my fb is locked down like Fort Knox, nobody could've seen it unless a fb friend (her) showed them it. I deleted her immediately, and she changed her route. This was about 9 months ago and she's now began delivering to me again but I no longer speak to her other than a 'thanks, bye'!

My EVRI driver is great now - back in 2020 - 2022 shite

tara66 · 28/09/2026 18:55

re the collection by evri for returning items - supposed to come today between 15.00 and 17.00 - I actually sat near door bell - no one came and the bot is not understanding me at all now - will give up!! But doubt I will get refund for return payment - life is too short to carry on with this farce!!
