AIBU to list retailers that routinely use Evri for deliveries so we can avoid them?

I am utterly sick of how Evri deliveries are so incredibly bad. I have had parcels go missing, non deliveries, poor communication etc. It is with almost everything that they seem to try and deliver. I don't live anywhere remote or hard to access. I have decided to not shop online with retailers that routinely use Evri to deliver.

AIBU to suggest that we use this thread to list stores that use Evri to deliver online orders so Mumsnetters can decide whether to shop there or not.

I'll start
Reiss
John Lewis
Sweaty Betty (who also use Evri to do their in-store collections in Waitrose shops so even that option is flawed).

I have mine delivered to the local parcel shop which happens to be our post office and don't have issues.

FakeSnow · 07/09/2026 19:31

Dpd are the ones to avoid where I am, awful company

cramptramp · 07/09/2026 19:31

I have no issues with Evri at all. I’ve just ordered something from John Lewis and had it delivered to someone 250 miles away. It arrived really quickly today with Evri.

mynameiscalypso · 07/09/2026 19:32

DPD is the best here, Evri is okay as well although sometimes the slot changes at late notice. Yodel are the worst.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/09/2026 19:36

Our Evri courier is brilliant too.
DPD decided to re route my shoes to a shop pick up a couple of streets away even though two people were in the house 🤨 Doorbell not rung , Camera picked up the courier dropping a card through .
The porch window is wide open and it was obvious from the box it was shoes so not fragile .

ladygindiva · 07/09/2026 19:37

George Asda. Hence no new school cardigans yet although they went back to school today 😭

ladygindiva · 07/09/2026 19:38

DPD and Yodel fab locally evri a complete disaster. Mid Cornwall.

summater · 07/09/2026 19:38

Ervi is good in our area, it all depends on your courier

I hate that about dpd they deliver to the nearest shop if you are not in, and most times they don’t actually knock when you are in! Drives me mad.

They decided I wanted my parcel delivered to a locker 3 miles away and sent me a code. I did not want it delivered to a locker 3 miles away. I was expecting it to be delivered to my house and even if I had chosen a locker I would have chosen the one that's a 2 minute walk away.

BettyscakeShop · 07/09/2026 19:39

I always give mine 5 stars as they are brilliant here

Jk987 · 07/09/2026 19:39

All good for me. Lots of Vinted parcels delivered by Evri no problem.

Dorosomethingbeautiful · 07/09/2026 19:40

I have had no problems with Evri delivery

TheChosenTwo · 07/09/2026 19:44

Another one with great service from Evri, DPD is the best and Royal Mail are at the very bottom of the pile.
I agree that there should be a choice or at least transparency over which courier service your delivery charge is actually paying for before you checkout. I’d never voluntarily use Royal Mail.

MeridaBrave · 07/09/2026 19:46

I like my Evri delivery driver. She is so nice. Not had any problems.

LemonPenguin · 07/09/2026 19:46

I would have said the same a few years ago, but our Evri delivery driver is fantastic now. But I do agree it would be great to see which delivery service companies use before placing an orders.

Buscobel · 07/09/2026 19:48

Our Evri driver gets 5 stars every time. He is reliable, on time and very pleasant. He must have been away recently and his replacement was not a success.

Royal Mail are hit and miss and post letters to the wrong house too.

Several couriers drop and run, so you need to have seen the van to know whether a parcel has been delivered.

tilypu · 07/09/2026 19:52

Evri are dire, here. They pretend to have attempted delivery, but haven't, then send the goods back to the seller!!

Snag (but you can pay more for royal mail)

I'm trying to remember the other company I ordered from that used Evri, and they did that with as well. If I remember l will come back.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 07/09/2026 19:52

John Lewis use DPD whenever I order from them.

I have never had an issue with Evri.

IDasIX · 07/09/2026 19:52

Evri are appalling at my (perfectly normal city!) address. More than one company has had to refund me completely for goods that simply disappeared. My default is to avoid any company that uses them, but if I can’t get the goods anywhere else, I’ll use the Evri parcel store option, as it goes to my local corner shop and is generally reliable.

loveawineloveacrisp · 07/09/2026 19:55

I've had worse issues with Amazon this week who decided they couldn't work out how to open a latched gate, declared it locked so went next door and launched the parcel over the hedge from there.

lisaloo88 · 07/09/2026 19:56

Never had an issue with evri

MingingRunnersFeet · 07/09/2026 19:56

I’ve never had an issue with Evri. And I have stuff delivered quite often.

HoppityBun · 07/09/2026 20:03

My usual Evri driver is friendly to sensible. Unfortunately it seems increasingly that I get another driver and they leave stuff where it can be nicked, even though there’s a safe place in my tiny front garden. For that reason I’d rather choose almost any other company

Domino45 · 07/09/2026 20:05

Next use Evri. Not sure if they use them for store collection too. Sephora and Cult Beauty use Evri too.
