To think fat women look better in bikinis than one pieces

Before anyone jumps on me, of course people can wear what they want and feel most comfortable in...

But ive just returned from holiday and I did think whilst lying on the beach and round the pool how much better larger women look in bikini rather than one piece costumes. I think maybe it's just a confidence thing and those who exude confidence rather than self consciousness look better overall.

But regardless of that, I just think visually they actually look better...not that anyone owes attractiveness to others obviously

I hate this notion that people must apologise for existing and hide their body so others don't get offended. Obviously don't show your body if you don't want to but stretch marks, loose skin, the temerity of having grown a human being in your body or god forbid suffering an injury aren't shameful acts we must hide the evidence of

I wear both; I did when I was young, and I do now I am not.
On the days I wear a one piece, to think that some fellow beachgoer is deciding I am wearing it because I am embarrassed about showing more of my body, is laughable.

As an ex Fat person, I don’t think bikinis work well especially if like me the weight around my middle made me look 14 months pregnant. Personally I stuck to Tankini short bottoms and a top with thin straps.

The post is ridiculous and I'd assume that if somebody in real life directly said the OP's opening post to me I'd assume they were taking the piss or gaslighting me.

I personally do not feel comfortable having loose skin in unsupportive clothing. It can chafe, it hurts my lower back, my stretchmarks split if overstretched.

There are many women out there with many other reasons for why they cover up on the beach. Not every wants to wear a fucking bikini

Sorry forget to mention. I do not give a flying fuck what other women wear on a beach, pool whatever.

Apart from a fleeting neutral thought of maybe that doesn't suit her (yes we all notice others, not going to lie) then it's back to my book, cocktail and what to have for dinner.

Larger/ flabby ladies definitely look better in swimsuits, at least all the flab is tucked in

I don’t see how wearing a bikini means that you’re more confident than someone who chooses different swimwear. It might mean that you’re more delusional, or that you simply don’t care about how you look.

It’s like people who go in the Xfactor who can’t sing. Confidence alone doesn’t make someone look good.

I'm not going to deny it at all. I just don't care what others wear and I'm not going to patronise anybody by burbling on about confidence, either.

I didn’t say the post was offensive, I said it was based on a false premise that women (fat or otherwise) are wearing swimsuits because they think a bikini wouldn’t look good on them.

God it’s enough ro make you never want to go on a beach again. It’s so creepy, sitting staring at women’s nipples.

(Having spent the last 14 years mostly completely on the beach 😂)
I would say the absolute worst look of all is bikini bottoms and topless above.
Naked on a naturist beach in the right setting is perfectly fine and far better than the above.
Bikini - ok, but depends on what activity is contemplated, what cover, security is needed.
Swimsuits in larger sizes with high backs and round necks can be totally completely unflattering.
Wish the designers would do low cut (flattering) backs, square necks, v necks, piping and sporty detailing.
In pools men will “bully” female lane swimmers - avoid florals, keep firmly with sporty athletic.
If doing “artistic swimming” add bikini bottoms under a swimsuit - for extra security when gusset and legs are above water line…
If going in the river - then yoga cut offs and short sleeved yoga top work better.
Actually you can easily swim on beaches in just a (patterned) sarong with no swimwear at all.

Bikinis are annoying in any sort of decent surf, have to spend too much time putting the top back on after a big wave. One pieces stay put a bit better. Rashes even better.

So... I was in this hotel in Galicia. the patio border around the pool was about 2m wide which meant by the time someone lay on loungers next the pool, if you walk on the patio or just swim to the poolside, the naked topness is just THERE. I'd need a blindfold not to notice that someone had large boobs, sunbathing, with inverted nipples.

And really, wherever there was sun and topless sunbathing by females, conditions were crowded. When moving thru crowded beaches, you kind of notice the bodies around you, in effort to still give them a bit of personal space.

I saw otters and porpoises on that trip, too, and didn't need binocs for them either.

Preumably you go specifically on the lookout for otters and porpoises. 😏

I can honestly say, when on the beach I have seen thin ladies, fat ladies, ladies with huge boobs, flat chests, thongs, cossies and bikinis....I have never once looked enough to see what their nipples were up to.

Well... personally I don't care what anyone wears around the pool or in life, but whatever individuals choose is just that.

When slimmer I will wear bikinis, when fatter I prefer a swimsuit. Just me.

When younger most of us wore swimsuits on holiday, bikinis weren't the fashion.
