DP sexual punishment or am I boring?

Long term DP relationship is good and we’re planning to buy a house together soon. He’s been away dog sitting for the last 2 weeks which has made me feel a bit distant from him and I’m not the best with messaging. But basically he came over yesterday after seeing me on Friday.

I was naked in a towel when he came as I was out the shower and he was on the bed wanting a cuddle which I wasn’t keen for (wanted to get dressed) he playfully pulled me onto him which was fine and we were laughing he was touching me but then my towel was slipping too much and he was getting a good look at my body but I felt self conscious so started to struggle he then grabbed under my legs so I panicked and twisted but the way he held me meant I had to twist so my bottom half went straight to his face!!! You can imagine my panic as was stark naked and I saw him get a good look.

I felt really embarrassed and upset especially because about a week or 2 ago a similar thing happened where I’d been without underwear under my dress (hot day) and all fine playing joking but then he ended up tipping me onto a chair and lifting my legs up so again when I panicked and tried to get free I twisted off the chair and ended up him holding me legs akimbo naked!! I had told
him I’m not ok with this.

so I said to him quite clearly do not do that again if you do then we’re done which I was a bit rash saying but I was upset and felt humiliated to be honest. I said I’m not cuddling you for the rest of the day (half joking but I didn’t want him to touch me) Well he then went into a bit of a strop with me and said I’d annoyed him. We had a nice day but he refused to cuddle or kiss me - he said as punishment for what I’d said, which I did want as I’ve hardly seen him and wanted to feel close.

when he went back to dog sitting he messaged saying how I’d turned him down and lost out today on sex as well. He’s meant to be coming back to mine today and I didn’t want it hanging over us so I said well I can make up for it. He said how? I was busy and don’t like sexting (didn’t have any ideas tbh!) so I tried to be vague sort of we’ll see.

he then said I would have to make up for what I’d done before he would come back! I said I hope you’re not being serious and he said deadly serious! I said well you’re not giving any ideas he then sent me a list of options including a video of how much I love him and saying sorry for being silly, various nudes, a voice note all the reasons I love him or the special option which was a video of me undressing! He said if I did that he’d come and sleep with me and be forgiven.

  1. he is well aware ive neves been comfortable sending nudes.
  2. I didn’t even want sex at that point.

I said im not comfortable doing that and he said what any of it? He said he just wanted a bit of fun and I said it’s not fun for me being pressured into doing things I don’t want to do. His last message was that he never pressured me.

situation now is neither of us have messaged each other. I’m worried am I boring and have I been unfair? Should I have tried to be a bit fun? But also I feel like the ‘punishment’ was options of further humiliation for me and I would not have enjoyed them I don’t like sending nudes certainly not videos I find it degrading.

I know Im going off on a tangent, but how can you be embarrassed by the man who you are in a close enough relationship to be planning to buy a house with seeing your body naked? Has he never seen you without clothes on before or seen your ‘bottom half’?

Going off on a shitty tangent.

Women are allowed to chose WHEN and IF a man sees them. FFS.

diabolicalbanana · 20/07/2026 15:06

We’ve been living together for about 9 months and usually we have a good sex life if anything usually he’s less interested than me?! But I feel like his respect for me has slipped a bit like another example is a couple of weeks ago he wanted to ‘finish’ on my face. I was really super clear saying no I do not want that. We had sex and he tried to do it anyway I stopped him and said no I don’t want that he then went in a major mood and next day said I wasn’t thoughtful about him. He claimed it was linked to me asking him to drive us somewhere but I felt like it was coincidental after not letting him cum
on me like if id let him do that he’d have been fine. And yes of course this is real!

You don't want nude picture or videos of you any where and he really doesn't sound trustworthy if he gets upset again he may send them to all his friends or even put them on line. Asking you to send stuff like that is not OK.

And 'punishing you' by refusing sex is extremely childish and would put me off bothering ever again. He's not that good that you have to beg him for sex. He should be apologising to you.

And your last post is disgusting, why would he want to do that it's a humiliating technique to show his dominance total red flag from me for that. He's been watching too much porn.

BauhausOfEliott · 20/07/2026 15:06

Yeah, this isn't a good relationship. At all.

Oscillating · 20/07/2026 15:06

Ugh what an awful man.

Trying to manipulate you into doing sexual acts you don't want to do?

Just ditch him and breathe a sigh of relief you realised he's not good enough for you before it's too late.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 20/07/2026 15:07

Dump him immediately.

This is all kinds of horrible.

diabolicalbanana · 20/07/2026 15:08

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 20/07/2026 15:04

No. The 'I'm going to punish you until you bend over backwards to make it up to me' (it doesn't matter what the perceived 'offence' is meant to be) is ghastly. You apologised even though it was he who should have been seeking your forgiveness and now he thinks he can hold it over you to get what he wants.

No. Just no.

Yes because he’s made it known for a long time that he would love me to send him nudes and I’ve held firm on that. And it felt like he took this as an opportunity to try and get what he wants without thinking of me being happy to do it because I told him that when I’d said about making up for it I’d meant in person

He's testing your boundaries. Make it very clear that you don't like it, don't joke about it, don't apologise, tell him what will happen if he ever does something like that again (relationship will be over) and then follow through.

I agree, but it’s already happened previously, and now he has done it again, so has crossed a boundary already. Then when us women want to keep setting them and they do it again, they just hope and assume you will let it go again, and re make a boundary. Plus by doing all the emotional blackmail/manipulation he is doing now, by turning it on OP.

If it were me, having gone through what I have in the past, and crap i still have had to suffer in some ways, from having a child with that person. I would finish it now!

SusieMyersonAndAssociates · 20/07/2026 15:10

This is forcing you to do things you don’t want to do OP, which is sexual coercive control and literally criminal. It will get worse, much worse, if you don’t leave now.

Of course I let him see me naked in bed, in soft lighting, when I choose. This was in harsh daylight I had no makeup or anything on did not feel ‘good’ about my body in that moment but also it was the lack of control. He was holding me and also I don’t think many women would even want their partners to see their vagina extremely close up in broad daylight like that I’m not a pornstar!

If my boyfriend started on that with me he’d be my ex. No one bosses me around like that.

Thanks goodness.

He doesn't care about your consent. He doesn't. He wants what he wants and he doesn't care if you want it or not. that gets worse over time and with dependence. You moved in, it got worse. You buy a house, it will get worse. You have a baby, much worse.

Get rid.

KoiTetra · 20/07/2026 15:13

Another vote for get rid.

I am a guy and I cant even begin to comprehend how he thinks this is acceptable!

I know he wouldn’t share them but I don’t want to do it in case we did ever end but also I find it quite degrading. I’ve also previously had traumatic experiences of being made to do that/no consent so I just don’t want to ever do it again

This was the point when I decided he’s controlling. It will only get worse and you will have a miserable time trying to ‘please’ him. End it.

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/07/2026 15:15

He doesn't care about your consent. I would never be 100% sure.

I don't think you do know that. He sounds like the sort who would hold pictures over you forever ("do what I want, or let me do what I want, or I'll send the pictures to your mum") and who wants to live like that?

And if you bend or give in in any way now it is going to be so much worse next time.

Confused876196 · 20/07/2026 15:16

You need to get out quick OP.

TheGoddessFrigg · 20/07/2026 15:16

Men who sulk are the worst.
And men who sulk over sexual things and admit they are 'punishing' you are even lower than that.

I agree that your boyfriend’s behaviour was unacceptable, but I don’t actually think most women would have a problem with their partner seeing any part of them naked, let alone seeing them without makeup.

diabolicalbanana · 20/07/2026 15:17

Can I just clarify do you think it’s reasonable that I was upset about the thing with the towel would other people have reacted the same way as me? Because he’s made me feel like I was out of order for threatening to end it if he does that again and being upset about it. He said that I put it in his face not him but I was twisting as it was the only way I could get out of his hold on my legs
