Hose pipe ban - neighbour doesn't seem impacted...confused?!

I’ve banned my teenagers from telling me they are confused about things because it’s so annoying. Don’t be confused, work things out, think or ask what’s happening.

How do you get an exemption from the hosepipe ban?

Because priority services are organised & run by the individual water companies and not the Government.

Our household was exempt from the hosepipe ban last year (though we aren't in one now). I'm not even sure why as the letter didn't mention the reason!

Because it is much harder to carry cans around to water the garden. Most disabled people would be delighted to give away their disability rather than need assistance

Because sometimes the wheels of our walking aids such as rollators end up covered in other people's dog shit...
I am exempt but not intending to use it unless I have to for reasons above!

Many pressure washers don’t need a hosepipe , they have a pump that you put it in a bucket of water

But it isn't random. For the Anglian water area at least, if you have a disability that affects your mobility (or other things that aren't relevant here) you can apply to be on the priority services register. Once you are on the register you are able to use a hosepipe if you are "unable to make reasonable adjustments because of a health condition or disability." No diagnosis is needed.

If you're on the register for another reason and are perfectly capable of using a watering can then you're not allowed to use a hosepipe.

Iam flatly refusing to stop using a hose pipe until seven trent fix the leak on our road thats been pouring out down the road for 4 months

To clean what? Whether they are disabled or not is irrelevant. Nobody is supposed to be using a pressure washer to clean anything unless it is for animal welfare purposes such as cleaning out stables or other animal enclosures etc.

We use a pressure washer fed off a water butt, husband bought some kind of connecting gismo. We are waiting for someone to try reporting us ..

You need to check the relevant water company's website. Rules vary.

No one needs to use a pressure washer during the hosepipe ban, exemption or not.
