I'm half Scottish (dad) so always support both. In the past I'd probably want Scotland to win if it was them against England to be honest. Although now because of the Argentina support I'm going off supporting Scotland.

You do know that you can just not support them rather than "hating" them? I don't hate them - they don't really register on my radar except on here with people ranting that people "hate" 12 guys who kick a ball about for a living.

I mean im English and I dont want them to win or theyll be unbearable, but im not going to support Argentina either. I think we all live on this island and should support each other - an English win is a british win. Our cultures, like it or not, are considerable similar when compared to a country thousands of miles away and scottish people have deep history with the Falklands- supporting the country that attacked an island with so many Scottish people is just dumb.

I'd sooner boycott football, at least at the national level (as I do the Olympics). If we don't have a team, and it's stolen in the name of unionism. I'd expect a lot more Scots would resent the union than at present, too.

Also, if England does win. It's their win alone.And they deserve all the limelight. I'm not going to try take some glory out of that. It's not our team. I don't support them, nor do I claim any glory in their success.

far more Scots died defending Scotland in the wars of independence. If wars and deaths matter, then that will matter more. Argentina's never tried to take over Scotland. Nor do they hold a huge amount of political power over us, today.
